Bought this Sig P230, had no factory case, just one mag, but was in decent shape for what it was. Bought it when I picked up an early non railed .40 SW P229 and a current production USP 9mm. I just figured if I didn't get it, chances of another one showing up would be slim, knowing these German made Sigs, with the Kiel proof house marks etc., are collectable in many respects.

@CZP07 , allow me to clarify. If you see a Nighthawk that fits a holster you may already own, and you have the money...that's more of an obligation than an impulse.
it was more of a quest to buy another dan wesson. Started out with the specialist, then decided to buy the Bruin. But before i could hit the confirm button on my cart i thought, 'what the hell. In for a dime, in for a dollar' and now i wait for it to ship.. In .45 though.

Yes , I heard him . I want the story. How does one impulsively buy a Nighthawk?
I have a few guns that were like that. I would make the mistake of asking to "see them". Next thing I knew they were at the house with me. Sometimes I swore to the Wife that it just followed me home but, it was probably an impulse buy. Of course now the only impulse is paying since its a good while till it can follow me home :(

My 1911 guy has me first on his call list for a new Alchemy. I've talked myself out of it, but we'll see how that goes when he calls me.

I am not sure I have ever bought a gun or knife on an impulse buy, I usually have to have put some thought into it first and know I really want it.

I have been very tempted a couple time when I see a screaming (ie reasonable) price for something I might want.

The last real impulse though was when I was still working steadily and had saved all of my allowance.

I went into guitar center to buy a guitar they had on clearance with a 0% for 24 months deal.

I walked into the place and looked down a very large wall of electric guitars to have my eye hit one in particular within half a second.

I finally found the one I had gone in for and the rep showed me how to pull them off the wall then walked away.

I wasn't exactly impressed with it once it was in my hands but it would have sufficed.

I went from guitar to guitar taking them down and dinking with them only to end up telling myself I may as well take that one that caught my eye down so I could at least say I looked…. Bad idea.

I went up to the counter, to the guy that had helped me and he says, "so which one did you like?". I replied knowing my wife would not be impressed, "The expensive one…". Guy replies, "of course you do".

Ended up buying a guitar 3 times the cost of the one I went in for and have not regretted it one single time.

Buy once, cry once applies here as it will be hard to justify another in that realm for someone who honestly isn't that good at playing the thing lol.

Pics do not do it justice, black base with metallic green over the top and then pealed off and clear coated so no 2 are the same.

As a bass player myself, Guitar Center is like a gunshop, very dangerous territory for my wallet lol

Dude, sweet axe! What is the make & model? Asking for a friend :D

It is a Schecter C-1 Silver Mountain - with the Toxic Venom finish.

They have a stupid amount of model options considering the line is only a handful of years old so you could get just about amy type of configuration you want (8 string all the way down to a bass - multiple pickup and bridge options as well)

The original that came out a couple years ago was black with silver and then they added a black with dark red. The green is the newest color and I think only 2-3 years old max as the whole line is fairly new.

Korean made with US electronics. Pull up knob to isolate the humbuckers and turns it into single coils. Has jumbo stainless frets so I've found it's extremely easy to play vs my others. Heck, the fret dots even glow green in the dark with just the slightest amount of light exposure. Oddly enough they do not advertise this but imo it's pretty awesome.

I use a Focusrite audio interface for my PC and Bias FX 2 software which pretty much allows me to dial in just about any sound I want (plus a library of sound profiles created by users) <<Highly recommend that setup if you only play at home.

The software is so good that I use it to play acoustic songs and haven't played my actual acoustic since I got everything set up.

I've loved it since I gave it a once over for the first time.

Nice I have two 230s one blue and one stainless both with original Sig arms boxes and factory rest targets.

Ameriglo Night Sights for Walther PDP.

This is my new nightstand gun. I have put this thing through every drill from Mozambique to 50 yards targets and it can do it all. Why the PDP is not more popular I have no idea. It might be the best handgun I've ever owned.

Walther's pistols seem to fly under the radar for me. Haven't tried the pdp but did enjoy my (short) few rounds with the Q something or other.

I'm also always looking for a beat to hell cheap GSP because it'd be wickedly cool to use it as a base for a Mal Reynolds working reproduction.

Absolutely had to have this. It even has a double trigger. Pull slightly, one dart, pull a bit further the second. Pull hard all at once, both barrels launch their darts. Break to cock. Love it.

Nice thing about having a young kid. You can buy cool toys like that to play with and tell everyone its for the kid. :s0140:
Only problem for me is I was buying those kind of toys before the kids and everyone knows the truth. Even my kids bring me toys they'd think I'd like.

This one was about a month ago. Yes, I've since bought some more ammo and mags! No, the stock is not adjustable but the sights are.
