I thought it might be nice to have a thread where we can share information and resources on being and getting prepared, for anything.

Etc.
Anything you'd like to share to help the preparedness-minded community. The more people who are, the better off we'll be as a society.
Just keep it polite. No debates or bashing please.
I'll go first. Libraries in Clackamas County
You might assume they wouldn't have books on that kinda thing, but they do. I've literally found hundreds of useful books on anything you'd ever want to know for any situation. Hunting, farming, outdoor survival, food, shelter, protection, they even have books on guns and other weaponry. And I mean really specific subjects too. They even have a book called, Survival mom : how to prepare your family for everyday disasters and worst-case scenarios by Bedford, Lisa. There are books on subjects that are as broad or as specific as you want to be. Because let's face it, sometimes it's difficult sifting through billions of internet comments and opinions to find specific information. And if your library doesn't have it, you can request it. So yeah, the internet is great, but books will never go out of style imo. Ps. They have video, cds, ebooks, and magazines if reading isn't really your thing.
I just read a book called:
Northwest Foraging: The Classic Guide To Edible Plants Of The Pacific Northwest
Benoliel, Doug
Excellent book.
