NRA sacrificed Kali for the greater good...Gun owners in Kalifornia have been asking that question for about 25 years.
I have a Class 07, and your comment is accurate.Did they tell you that they are not the ones who enforce's ITAR, They just report non payer's to State ?
Did they tell you that you can get a Commerce Dept. Exemption if you don't sell to Police,Military or Foreign export . Because that is how the law is written ?
We sell weapon's out of the country so we pay the fee's.
Don't sell to the above mentioned and you don't have to pay.
It's been that way for years.
Nothing new it came out in 2012 just been going mainstream now ..................
Oh yeah did they mention the 11% FET tax on the sale price of every firearm after 49 gun's manufactured under your FFL ?????.............
NRA sacrificed Kali for the greater good...
Just like they're now sacrificing OR and WA "for the greater good." *snort*NRA sacrificed Kali for the greater good...
Feel like sharing with the rest of the class? I'm sure Velzey at least would appreciate that information and its benefit in preserving his livelihood...I have a Class 07, and your comment is accurate.
I am a little guy, who does little jobs, who converts old 870 shotguns (amongst other things) into home defense weapons. When I had set up the biz, the ATF boy told me that taking an old 870, and installing new furniture on it, and doing a Cerakote job to it was manufacturing so he (his definition) thought it be better if I got the 07 FFL. No, I am not required to issue a new firearm serial number, as i use the original. It's a big pile of smelly crap that i do just to do small projects, commercially. But I do it because I want my business.Feel like sharing with the rest of the class? I'm sure Velzey at least would appreciate that information and its benefit in preserving his livelihood...
Oh, but he's not an 07/SOT, so Up His because he's not one of the Big Boys, and same to all us home/hobbyist 'smiths who tinker with out.
As for Dems, don't blame me I didn't vote for 'em any more than you did! I had to Burn an old college friend now running for Legislature because she sold out for Bloomberg's blood-money...
I've been a Constitutional Republican since the late 70's. That said, i was not at all behind Trump, but this is war, so he'll have my vote.As it happens up to this year I have been a reliable GOP voter every election. As for WA's electoral votes, even Jesus Christ Himself couldn't pry the WA EV's out of Killary's bloodstained mitts... so being unable to support a lying, welshing con-man who was for Ban 'Em All before he was "against bans" I have no qualms about voting my conscience and casting my ballot for Gary Johnson.
Johnson is not evil, just a pothead. I have no time for potheads. This I know from personal experience.Evil, Crazy Evil, Stoner, least of three evils. It's still casting a ballot. And if you think Cheeto Jesus won't stab you in the back as soon as his Fifth Avenue Manhattan values see a "better deal" I got a killer deal on some beachfront real-estate for you... in Mesa, Arizona.
A few bucks in taxes. Actually very little as it only applies to those firearms I've "manufactured" Less then five hundred dollars a year which is part of my pricingSo @Gunfinish what do you pay per year?
As per my conversation with batf today it seems things have changed over the last few years. Oh and yes I'm well aware the ATF doesn't collect itar $.
I was clearly told I need to sign up and pay ( itar) For the type of work I do, threading, bedding, accurizing, modifying parts prior to install, etc etc. Socit seems there are allot of others in Oregon that are out of compliamce and don't think they need to look into it. But hey to each his own, I'm going to stay legal.
I was told the ATF just got new info today ( as in 8/1/16) on all this. And they actually took the time to call me back and give me the info..
