Only saving grace right now is the 6-3 majority on SCOTUS. I do think Repubs in Congress will support some new restrictions because the pressure is so high. But SCOTUS should be the firewall that will keep things from going off the rails for us.

**UPDATED 6/27/22** a little humble brag, but I read the tea leaves right on this one. Congress did pass some paltry new laws that may have a small effect on gun violence and school shootings but you are never gonna stop the whack jobs. And SCOTUS took a 2x4 to all the "may issue" states with their ruling on concealed carry. Overall, I am a very happy camper right now! Sorry for the 20 year olds who are going to have to go through a proctology exam to get a firearm for the next 10 years, but the net result is one step backward and at least 3 steps forward IMHO>
