Just another reason to stay away from them. Like the not contributing to the WA tax base equitably and suing us at every turn for water and land use wasn't enough. I won't set foot in a WA casino. Don't even get me started on the fishing inequities.

Until metal detectors or pat downs become a thing there, who cares? Don't drink, keep it concealed, and don't talk about it.

Don't get me started on tribes, treaties and other Indian BS. It's an archaic system that was forged in racism and for the good of everyone - hot blooded native to albino euromutt - the system should be abolished. And don't start with trying to call me racist - I probably have more Indian blood than most on this site. The culture the rez system has developed and the special citizen semisovereign BS is disgusting. We are either American or we are not. The US is the only country I know of that gets halfassed apologetic for conquest then hands out welfare and special status to those we have defeated or bartered with. The native people were not the stereotypical pacifists Hollywood had portrayed them as. Whites are not the murdering evil scum they are portrayed as. Plenty of evil was done by both sides - Europeans simply had education, technology, and biology on their side during the expansion of the United States.

But now we're in the weeds again

Sounds like you drove the bus and ran over yourself with that rant.

We took my wife's parents. I hate gambling and wouldn't have gone if it wasn't for them.
My mother in law gave us each $50 and we ended up walking out with $166 so we bested the place for $66, until you add in the $9 drink my wife got and the $26 smash burger dinner.

We were still ahead. The cigarette smoke was making me nauseous.

I don't plan on returning.
In the old days the casinos in Nevada worked hard to attract your business. Yes, you might lose $100 at the crap table, but your room was $12 and your steak dinner was $1.99. These days they try to squeeze every nickel out of everything. I guess I was spoiled. I don't do indian casinos, and I hardly ever do the modern ones in Nevada anymore.

But yes, the whole reservation is tribal land and your CHL doesn't apply there unless they say it does.

I went to Ilani 3 times walked out ahead or even and if your ever even then you won! This is even after I ate their overpriced food. They have had some issues mainly the first few weeks they have been trying to fix. Not my place of choice but I did take them for some $ granted we spend a good $600+ each time, but still haven't walked out a loser. We even at at Michal Jordans it was about $160 and I still walked out ahead so I cant complain. I prefer the casinos in WA and or Vegas. I do miss the days of cheap rooms and promotion people on the floor you could talk to and get to know, that back when you could get some good stuff for your money. Also I play just slots You could say I know what to look for guess I have had lots of practice.

Casinos are dirtbag congregation zones. I stood in line at the redwind casino restaurant and counted five people I had taken to jail at least once. Screw that.

Yeah last time at Spirit Mountain my profiling and spidey sense was over loading on about 40% of the sh*tbags there and considering how close it is to Commieland, I bet there was more than a couple warrants walking around that place.

We go a couple times a year, buffet then $ 40 a piece on the machines and the first one to go up enough to pay for the meal, gambling and gas, we cash out and leave.

I'm a craps and blackjack player. I play slow but steady. Nothing flashy. If you know what to look for, are methodical, and don't take chances you can make money. Most people can't do that though.

I sure would like to see state or federal statute that says that I cannot carry on tribe owned land. Now, not all tribal owned land is a "sovereign nation" as it were. I have looked and never found a regulation that says that I can't carry on tribal land. I don't believe there is such a regulation that prohibits possession and/or carry of firearms on tribe owned land.

I doubt there is any state or federal statutes regarding that because it's out of their jurisdiction. It would be a tribal regulation and you would have to consult the tribe. The tribe that runs that may not have addressed that but I would contact them first before assuming you can carry on the rez.

They typically have their own tribal police force as well. When you're on a reservation you need to behave like it's a foreign country, because it basically is one.

Not having the exact information here, but I got his from a local deputy in the area.

At Spirit Mountain Casino last year I believe it was, a man and woman were caught by tribal police shooting heroin in a car in the parking lot. ( Yeah, brilliant move). Arrested both and assuming they were being taken to Polk County in Dallas, which they were, PRIOR to transport to the Federal jail in Portland.

They were charged in Federal court for the felony heroin possession on a tribal property. What ever became of it I do not know, but that is how it started out. Probably got hard time for a Federal beef versus the revolving door county court systems.

Are concealed weapons allowed in casinos?
Although the state has a liberal open-carry policy, you cannot carry in a casino or establishment that has gambling. Likewise, most casinos, but not all, do not allow concealed weapons. Even if you have a concealed-weapons permit, you can be refused entry because it is a private business.Oct 8, 2014.
