I used to go to the Lucky Eagle for the $20 seafood and Prime Rib buffet all the time... Always got my money's worth and never gambled more than $20... most of the time I left with as much money as I walked in with. I have my share of addictions, but gambling ain't one of em'... I'd just have them bring me a big ol' bowl of steamers and eat till I couldn't move. Oooh and fried oysters, and dungeonous crab, and... dammmit now I wanna go again. It's wasn't that great last couple times I went though... They have anything like that at the ilani? a 15 min drive to lacentre is a lot better than the hour to the Lucky Eagle.
Have heard the food isn't that great at Ilani but haven't eaten there myself.

My take is that the tribes have figured out in modern times to play the system...like any other special interest groups they entice politicians and play on people's vices, guilt and/or sympathies. It's cynical but it's kinda the modern American way.

I seldom visit them and then just for the food or a special event. They at least, for the most part are trying to better their tribal communities. IMHO. YMMV

I'm not in a bubble and would have no problem sayin it to your face. Just because some other idiot put it on the internet doesn't mean you should keep using it.
Yeah right. No you need attention to so of course you had to post it here instead of send a message. @SKrueger what... would it have been better using mentally challenged? At least i deleted it so your eyes wouldn't burn. When i want to come over for your whine i will bring the cheeze.

Anyone heard of the new casino policy on firearms?

I was going to go there, but plan on carrying and don't want any surprises.

I usually go under the assumption it's ok until someone tells me to leave.
But if it's concealed then it should be no prblem anyway.

Just wondering if anyone has gone and it's posted?

I find it a bit disturbing that someone that has a concealed permit and would not know the answer to this? Was it the training or individual? not my point. I do not have a concealed permit and I knew the answer to this. Second I find it disturbing the further comments about the Native American people disheartening. The fact that people feel this way is a shame and don't seem to have compassion for fellow human beings. Everybody on this sight is always going on about the divide but then they sure are helping to widen that gap. Some comments obviously have racism as a undertone.

Well the wife and I enjoy a trip to The Casino's every now and then. We don't spend what we can't afford to spend and have an enjoyable time......Strictly entertainment.
(and I leave my piece in the car) :s0049:

I live in La Center and thought the same thing, perhaps there will be some decent food deals or a tempting buffet. Nothing but over priced food with fancy names attached. Save your money and go elsewhere.

I must be the lucky one on this site.
I never lose money at any of the casinos because I don't go there.
I think I have been in indian casinos 4 times in my life. I gambled one time. That was enough for me.
The food tends to be good. Sometimes over priced, but the buffet is usually well stocked.

I would much rather spend my money on reloading supplies.

You folks go ahead and support those robbers any way you like. They won't be getting any of my money.

Search the casino website and the tribes website for their rules on firearms carry. Some come right out and say not to carry open or concealed. others are very vague on concealed carry but do not say that you can't.

The firearms rule on indian lands is about like it would be 150 years ago. They don't like us to begin with and only want our money. Spend your money and leave your guns at home. If you're happy with that then smile and don't whine. I don't complain about it because I don't go there.

Until metal detectors or pat downs become a thing there, who cares? Don't drink, keep it concealed, and don't talk about it.

Don't get me started on tribes, treaties and other Indian BS. It's an archaic system that was forged in racism and for the good of everyone - hot blooded native to albino euromutt - the system should be abolished. And don't start with trying to call me racist - I probably have more Indian blood than most on this site. The culture the rez system has developed and the special citizen semisovereign BS is disgusting. We are either American or we are not. The US is the only country I know of that gets halfassed apologetic for conquest then hands out welfare and special status to those we have defeated or bartered with. The native people were not the stereotypical pacifists Hollywood had portrayed them as. Whites are not the murdering evil scum they are portrayed as. Plenty of evil was done by both sides - Europeans simply had education, technology, and biology on their side during the expansion of the United States.

But now we're in the weeds again
