I've always said, that such scenarios should be framed as a certain amount of weight, not a certain number of guns, and should specify, as you said, that you are on foot/etc.

I've also said, I would want three guns and a knife or two; a rifle, a self-defense pistol, and a .22 rimfire gun. Depending on the situation they may be different guns, but my PS90, Five Seven, and S&W 34 (.22 Kit gun) or my Pack Rifle (.22 that weighs 15 oz) come to mind.

Ten pounds is a better nice round number. There are not very many centerfire rifles that weigh 6 pounds or less.

How about a 8.3 pound 1903 with 120 to 140 rounds on stripper clips in a bandoleer, that's around 14 to 15 pounds, about the standard combat load of WW-II! Your a pussy if that's too heavy a load out!
