I think I am close to having owned 30 different cars.

My favorites are all gone now:

1. 1970 Plymouth GTX - pistol grip 4-spd, Dana rear end, air grabber hood with a 440 magnum. Pretty much bone stock except for the cam and having the heads ported for better flow.
2. 1969 Dodge 340 GTS Swinger 4-spd w/ 3.91 gears and a mild cam. With flow masters it was one of the sweetest sounding motors I ever heard.
3. 1970 Dodge Charger 500 383 magnum. All leather, power windows and a factory power sunroof. Never got this on the road, but the current owner contacted me a couple of years ago.
4. 1970 Plymouth Barracuda - nothing special, but a nice driver
5. 1974 Dodge Challenger - The car I had in high school (got me into Mopars)
6.1957 Dodge Powerwagon (my avatar). Formerly a forest service rig. It went slow, but it would go anywhere.

Sure do love the old Power Wagons, Mine is a post war 1946 WC-30. Mostly stock except for the drive train ( 4BT cummins and 6 speed) and the modded no split ring rims!

This morning I went to the NWDRA swap meet in Vancouver with one of my high school friends. I mentioned this thread and asked him if he would even be able to recall all of the cars n trucks he's owned. His answer was something like, "I'd have to start writing them down and even then I'd probably miss some". If my number is 28, his is likely at least twice that.

My dad had a brand new 1970 Charger during my senior year in high school. One day he let me drive it while my MG was in the shop, with the promise that I wouldn't race it or smoke the tires. Yup, I drove it exactly 1/2 a day because my dad had followed me to school. :(

It sure is nice, keeps the original "Feel" of a real truck with the added bonus of power steering and brakes! About the only other modern additions are Good tube shocks and radial Mud tires!

Here are a few snaps of the P.W.

Awesome PW. Now that is a real truck. I used to own the last year PW with the quad headlights. No comparison to your sweet rig though. I did a little work to the old girl. Starting with a paint job:

This was a cool old truck that only had 36,000 miles on it when I inherited it.

Oh chit/OOPS. I told you I was going to miss one/many!!!! 1979 Camaro tucked away in the garage too... I'll add that to the list shortly...

46 or 47 since 1998

Mostly because I never made much money and never spent more than $2k on a car... and usually had a second car as a backup... or my wife had one too... at any given time I will own three cars.:D

Between the ages of 16-23 I had like 11 cars. Most weren't that special. I just used to get rid of them every year or more.
86 Oldsmobile
88 Nissan Sentra
91 Ford Explorer
96 Nissan Altima
00 Ford Mustang
98 Chevy Malibu
98 Ford Mustang cobra
04 Ford Ranger
97 Suzuki GSXR750 street bike
92 Ford Mustang
05 Chevy Trailblazer
05 Ford Explorer
96 Toyota 4runner
09 Ford Escape
16 Honda CRV

I think there was a couple others in there but who knows.

That's is one of the most beautiful vehicles I've seen. Damn I'd never give that up. I'd live in it before I sold it.

Gorgeous.

My grandpa had a 69 Ford pick up I really wanted. I don't have a relationship with him, but told my dad if he ever sold it to let me have first dibs. He sold it about a year later and forgot to tell me!
Uggh I was irked.

Reason 4,069 I have no relationship with those two good for nothing sacks of bones.

Cool list salmonriverjohn... But those dory's and other boats aren't cars. One of my good buddies is a long time Dory man......

Ask him if you don't believe me,
Dories are rigs!
They need a really good 4x4 running gear (not so much the rusty body to get around) and will go places most if not all trucks can?!?!?
Which reminds me, thanks! I knew my brain would slip a gear,
3 wagoners, 2- 390's, 1-327.
And a 65 jeep Gladiator PU 327 that I loved too much to ever put in the salt.
1 dodge omni GLHS
And a 74 Datsun 1200 that we could pick up and move if stuck.

And I think, damn if we only knew then right?

LOVE that Color! Looks so right on those older Pickups! Love that Body Style Dodge!

salmonriverjohn, I guess you are absolutely right!!! He ran a healthy 78 dodge powerwagon short bed 4x4 (with built big block 400) and now has an 85 gmc jimmy fullsize 4x4 with a corvette engine for pulling his new dory. You probably know him, he's part of the doryman's association and has been to pacific city many times...
