I've owned almost 70 different cars since I turned 15, I have also owned 6 pick-up trucks, and a couple Hovercraft. My current stable includes a sedan, and a pick-up.

This '71 Pontiac convertible was one of my favorite cars.

Dad passed away last year and his 1930 Model A Tudor is sitting in my garage mid restoration. (it is a runner) Sitting next to it is my wife's 57 Chev 210 Utility sedan (three passenger car some call "businessman's sedan" and is the car Black Widows were made from)
I still have my 2nd car I bought in 83 which was the replacement for my 1st one that I crashed earlier that year. Car #1, 66 Mustang. Car #2 65 Mustang. Dad bought the 66 in 74 and I got it later.
My best recollection is 28 cars and trucks. Motorcycles? 9 dirt bikes, 6 street bikes. 2 boats, no planes, trains or helicopters! Plus a handful of quads and small dirt bikes for the kids and grandson.
( kept editing these numbers as I was remembering more)

Did a count today of cars Ive owned since my first '69 Camaro when I was 14 in 1980. My best count is 48 cars so far. Some were for weeks and some were for years and I cant say that Ive owned more than 5 at any given time. Muscle cars, economy cars, good cars and junk. Didnt include motorcycles. Might be missing a couple. Funny thing is I remember those cars names and years better than I remember girlfriends names.

Whats your count?

Way too many, I can't even count.....

I wouldn't recommend starting out having a 62 Polara 500 413 dual 4 barrel max wedge as your first car, but at 17 that's what I had.
4 cudas. 273, 340, 383, 440
2 challengers. 340s
3 roadrunners. 360, 383, 440
2 darts. Both 340s
1 demon 340
Trucks? Lots. From Telstas, digger derricks to flat bed line construction rigs, crew trucks (too many to remember or list)
1 76 bronco 400
3 toyota forerunners
4 toyota 4x pickups
Today- 2004 dodge Dakota 4x
2009 tundra
1970 AAR Cuda 340 6pak pistol grip 4 speed, fully restored.
Oh ya, granny's old 95 Plymouth 225 slant 6 with 37k on the odo, runs like a top (this is where everyone giggles) that was left to me because she knew I liked Mopars!
2 alumaweilds (1 inboard 8 and 1 outboard 90)
2 pacificcity dory's
1 maxwield 454
Still have my 19' customwield inboard v6
My old 14' clackacraft drifter I started with at 18.
There's others my feeble old brain will remember later, mabie?

By my count, 14 cars/truck, 4 motorcycles, 2 dirt bikes, 2 quads and 1 snowmobile. Oh, and 3 RVs.

Off the top of my head, 30 cars and trucks, 12 motorcycles, 4 (powered) boats and 1 RV.

Best and worst was a BMW 530i, which any "born again bachelor" with a high-miles used beemer can surely understand.

Best anecdote: Just a couple years ago I had a car, a truck and 5 motorcycles. Truck was parked safely outside. In the car, I was sliding down my steep icy driveway when I finally hit dry pavement under the eave and stopped a foot short of plowing into all my bikes in the garage. In that butt-puckering split second, I imagined my insurance agent confirming with me. "So, you own 7 vehicles and damaged 6 of them in one accident?"

Somewhere between 18 and 20 I think.

I tend to keep cars for as long as they will transport me from point A to point B. The last car I owned before my current car, I owned for 11 years and put 120k miles on it, then I gave it to my daughter and her husband who is driving it now.

My last car was a 325ci and it still runs and drives fine at 12 years old and 130K.

I feel completely inadequate....:p

'73 Super Beetle ( was a hand me down, $200 car at the time, got totalled)
'74 Standard Beetle ( 1st "I spent my own money on it" car )
( shouldn't count the as they were parts cars, but at least 4 more bugs...)
'77 Chevy 1/2 ton
'67 CJ-5
'72 Nova
'93 Grand Cherokee ( totalled :( )
2nd '93 Grand Cherokee...bought the 1st one back and salvaged the lift wheels/tires
'98 Dodge 1500 4x4

Its funny...I consider myself a "car guy"...heck, I did 14 years of car parts before moving to trucks...worked on more friend's hot rods/muscle cars than I can count, but never had the fundage for my own. The Nova was the closest I got, drivetrain kicked butt, but it was still in need of body work/paint, ect when I sold it.

I remember my cars like my women. Some were fast, some I miss, some I barely remember. The ones that I miss or were fast.

1954 1/2 GMC Truck w 425 Buick motor. Blew it it up went 327 SB Chev and 400t tranny's. Age 14-15
69 Charger w 440 nice but never finished her. Age 15
1970 rs\ss Camaro. Blew the 350 replaced w 327 age 20, thank you shipyards.
1957 Chev pu 327 and Muncie 4 speed low geared posi. Age 20 thanks shipyards. Just sold within last year. SUCKED.
1967 Malibu wagon w 500hp big block Chevy. Header dumps wrinkle walls. Street legal drag car inherited from father. Sold it a several years ago. But it was fun. Ran 12s all day long.

And there's some I try to forget.
Now just Wrangler and a truck. No more tickets.:)
