1) I the 1st pic, how do we know that the gun isn't already completely out of whatever holster he was using ?
IOW, the pic may have captured the gun on the way to the ground.

2) Now that clip is a stoopid idea.

3) Too bad the cop couldn't have shot the gun away when it was laying on the sidewalk, like in a Western, LOL.
You would have the ricochet issue but the gunshot noise would have a positive effect.
But cops are not trained to do that.....just center mass, baby.

Around 4 pm, a local station sent out a reporter to talk to and film local people regarding the OSU baseball team. Naturally they went to a sports bar. Mr. Washington was one of those selected and videoed when the game first started.
I can not speak to his quantity and choice of beverage.
It does appear he was in the area for several hours.

When Red and Blue were posturing the cops did nothing. When Red, Blue and Washington went to the ground the cops did nothing. Now Washington's gun is on the ground, what if Red or Blue grabs it? Is he supposed to trust the campus cops to intervene? No "safer" to secure the weapon himself. Never crossed his mind that they would panic and put ten in his back.

1. Blue shirt knocks red shirt to the ground.
2. Black shirt (on the right) attempts to help red shirt.
3. Washington blocks black shirt.
4. Camo shirt comes from behind and kicks blue shirt in the head.
5. Blue shirt is down and out cold.
6. Washington goes to blue shirt's aid.
7. Red shirt tackles Washington.
8. Washington rolls and tries to get to his feet.
9. Cop shoots Washington.

Is that the gun on the ground where he rolled?

If you're talking to me, yes. Just looked at the short clip above. Anyway, I'm not placing blame here. Just trying to describe the action. I don't see where Washington could have tried to retrieve the gun. He's hit, he rolls, and tries to get to his feet. If he's reaching for the gun at the same time he has remarkable body control.

Try to find the full video that is a minute and a half. Blue shirt was responding to a choke from behind by Red shirt.

I agree that the cops failed by not breaking up the fight, then over reacting.

First, to answer @Jabba's question, you betcha. Same circumstances, same feeling about it. And for those who are asking about specific versions of the video, I have to ask; How many times have you watched it? 5, 10, a dozen or more? You know how many times the cop saw it? Once, and he didn't know what to look for, run it in slow-mo or pick it apart with a fine tooth comb. Did you also notice his view isn't the same as the video? Now here is the big one, I keep hearing , " the cops didn't stop it, the cops just stood there the cops just blah, blah, blah. Are you aware that cops are trained not to walk into a drunken melee and start pulling people apart. Best way to get clocked or get YOUR gun taken away from you. I know a lot of members here hate cops more than Democrats, BLM and Antifa combined do, but maybe you should at least try to temper it a bit so the lurkers who love to use it against the pro-gun crowd aren't provided the ammunition to destroy your rights. And if this offends anyone, kick me off this forum because I would rather not associate with people so blinded by their own hatred of a specific group that they lack any rational thought.

From body cam perspective it looks like a good shoot, the cops tried breaking the fight up and the guy reengaged then his gun winds up in his outstretched hand. The stupidity was fatal.

A video that Was not previously Shown . reveled a guy walking up to the cops when they arrived and stated ( that guy pulled a gun on us ,see its there on his side ) That would no doubt raise the cops awareness level . Then the man then fell to the ground and reached. .The law was not even there long enough to get a true feel for what was going on before the guy reached. With the exception of someone saying that guy pulled a gun . Anyone can walk up to the cops and say anything true or not and it will change a situation very quick until they sort out the B.S.. If anyone is at fault its the guy who told the cops he pulled a gun if it was not the truth.

I am still trying to find the FULL CELL PHONE video shot by Keyaira Smith that is a minute and a half long without news cuts or commentary. Red shirt, dreadlocks and camo jacket all start in front of the bar as Washington escorts his friend in the blue shirt one block away from them. At no time does Washington ever pull his gun. Camo jacket is egging them on and as you see from the cops full bodycam. Camo jacket lies to the police telling them that Washington pulled his gun on them. We see camo jacket kick blue shirt in the head which lays him out, allowing red shirt to push Washington which caused the gun to fall out.

The cops were given very bad information, coupled with their limited time on site and the scuffle initiated by red shirts rear naked choke attempt on blue shirt, all lead to a negative outcome.

Know how else this could come out better? Do not take your gun to a bar. Do not get involved in a fight at the bar with your gun. If you are too stupid to not follow these plans and you drop your gun in front of Cops do not try to pick it up and "lose your balance".
