Here we go yet again. If, and that is of course the big IF, this really happened like the story says? Whoever was in "charge" should be brought up on Manslaughter charges. Again though given the press and how they make stuff up? Who knows what will come out as time goes by here.

This is pretty disgusting.
The fact they charged this guy for defending his home when they were negligent is horrific. And this poor young lady lost her life because they F'd up.

I hope her family and BF get millions, but it still won't be enough.

No-knock raid. What happened to serving a warrant? And race had nothing to do with it, unless the apartment was painted black. The police obviously had no idea who was inside.

No nocks really need to go.

To me, they are just an excuse for cops to LARP like they are in fallujah. Arrest someone at work. They probably won't be strapped or in a car and you will know where they are.

Yeah, because bad guys have jobs. Besides, its not just about the body. Its about the evidence.

And its not LARPing when people are shooting back.

There is more to this story. It touches on a vehicle registered to the deceased that was associated with both residences. There is also some info about mail going to that residence from a person of interest. There is likely a lot more to that than the deceased family's lawyer is going to say to the media.

If the boyfriend is clean, he'll get acquitted or the charges will get dropped if there was no announcement and no one was marked up. There is legal precedent for that. But that's not what the other side is saying.

No-knocks serve a purpose and are also supported by caselaw. If this was narcotics related, standing outside and yelling who you are and what you're there for is a good way to have your evidence flushed down the toilet. That's an exigent circumstance.

There is conflicting information regarding whether it was even a no-knock. PD says they knocked and announced, and were shot at upon entry. There was also only 3 officers. You don't do dynamic entries with 3 guys that are unmarked.

Don't fall for the hype man. This doesn't pass the smell test.

WOW just WOW!!! You hear of these things and think how many people had to be not paying attention to the details for it to be allowed to happen??? But I know we are humans and therefore we WILL make mistakes or Clusterf#&k ups. There is a reason before surgery can start they all have to stop read out loud who is here, what is being done, on what side of the body for what reason and yet we still have stories of kidney removed from wrong man who was there for appendix rupture. Just be glad you are not included in the lawsuit as a defendant.
