Well, lucky or not, he has those kids. I get the idea if you have kids that all you have to do is go to the correct gov agency and hold your hand out, and they put money in it? Seems that way in potland? A goodly amount of the money that comes into the large chain grocery store Wifey works at has oregon trail card with free money. The more kids you have, the more money is on those cards.
And this, in potland any way.....A 15 or so year subordinate of Wifey's was fired after they determined he received close to $2000.00 in free Starbuck's drinks over a period of time. A lot of time poring over store receipts and video footage. Weeks! Classic "Sweethearting". He was fired and went for unemployment. It took him several months, but they gave it too him. He had kids from three different mama's, and was already on some kind of assistance. So there you go.

The grandkid and his wifey were on every bene and handout it was possible to get. I was shocked to learn that beyond SNAP and WIC, they got housing assistance, utility assistance, an Obama phone, and a free car. When the kids got a little older, some of the ancillary assistance started to drop off or get lower. So she started getting college tuition loans that were enough to live on. When she graduated, he finally had to go to work. They've played the game, just like many do, now I guess they'll be at the trough for whatever they can get.

As for unemployment. Yeah, he got it before even tho he was fired. Keep at them long enough and bring pics of poor starving family.

A free car? Holy shatsnacks, welfare is getting way out of hand

I'm not a fan of unions. I belonged to one and didn't like it. I'm especially not a fan of gov employee unions. But I'm really really really not a fan of labeling an entire group of workers, some of which have no choice in whether or not they belong to a union, as a "crime gang".

I view unions like body armor. Heavy, restrictive, and you wonder why you need it.... until stuff starts flying your way.

A 'marginal' worker, who does something he should be fired for ....but the union saves his job, will kiss the feet of his shop steward.

A good worker who is wrongfully accused by management will approach the union with the attitude 'I've paid my dues all these years. You need to give me my money's worth.'

Guess which type of worker, the unions spend the most effort on?

Yup. same thing at the phone co. Also, we went out on strike a number of times and didn't do any better than what we were offered in the first place!!!:rolleyes::rolleyes:

I have lots of issues with unions, however two come to mind:

Most unions promote socialism and the people I know that belong to unions vote accordingly.

Union wage demands drive costs up and therefore are inflationary.

IMO, the time when unions were needed to prevent massive abuse of workers is long gone. I appreciate the benefits that unions have won for American workers in general, but I think they've gotten out of hand and there is a history of corruption there.

Hey, maybe the folks standing on street corners and freeway on ramps will get together and strike? After all it's not fair to them...something must be unfair to them? I'll bet they could get Teddy wheeler to be a spokesman. o_O

Well---It's not like it hasn't been done before. I agree--Teddy would make a great union rep, as long as it didn't interfere with pimping for ANTIFA and running Portland off into the ditch.

"NEW DELHI, India, Aug. 22 -- Beggars in India's central Jabalpur city have formed a union to fight for their right to food and shelter.
The Jana Sangharsh Bhichuk Sangh has about 1,000 members and each member gets an identity card."
