Ah heck, even a kid can handle a 20-gauge semi-auto. Should be no problem for old folk.A shotgun will beat the hell out of them.

If they don't know how to handle a shotgun, a 410 will bet them up.Ah heck, even a kid can handle a 20-gauge semi-auto. Should be no problem for old folk.
Well, yeah, but then nobody -- and I mean nobody -- should handle ANY gun if they don't get proper training. Just ask Alec Baldwin...If they don't know how to handle a shotgun, a 410 will bet them up.

You just gotta get your ducks in a line there, Bro!!and if I put a hole in my wifes Subaru, there would be no end to that Hell
Sorry, I didn't read through all the posts so I don't know if someone already suggested, but I would recommend an easy to use PCC. Probably in 9mm. Like a Ruger PCC Carbine or a side charging AR9, with a flashlight and a red dot or laser.my parents got a glock for home defense (their first gun). however they don't put in a lot of range time, and when I was with them they were pretty inaccurate with it. I recommended that they should get a shotgun because it has a spread and will be easier to hit the target. Am i right with this thinking? Thoughts?

try Buffalo Bore .38+PMy mom cannot rack any of my semi-autos, so I got her a super small S&W in .357 mag. It was a revolver so she doesn't have to rack anything, I thought it was a good idea until I shot it and realized maybe I went a little too crazy with the caliber
Is that made of plastic?AR 15
I keep stuff in the safe….. but in questionable situations…. I'm a fan of these even with kiddos around. Keep the weapon ready to chamber…… easy removal of Stop Box products. This option is more sturdy than the OG stop box if it were in question. Though I have several in the house.

The original stop box is….. but these AR deals are aluminum housing and steel bracket thing that goes in chamber… the buttons are plastic on outside. So no..I think they are $100 bucks though…..actually $135 now. Added a link to other postIs that made of plastic?
If the Buffalo Bore is still a little hot for her, wadcutters in 38 SPL are fairly common too. I think I got some from Palmetto State Armory a while ago. They have very pleasant recoil.try Buffalo Bore .38+P
that's what's in my wife's Ruger SP101
I'm a firm believer in .38 semi wadcutters for self defenseIf the Buffalo Bore is still a little hot for her, wadcutters in 38 SPL are fairly common too. I think I got some from Palmetto State Armory a while ago. They have very pleasant recoil.
Looks like Buffalo Bore also makes a semi wadcutter that's not P+.I'm a firm believer in .38 semi wadcutters for self defense
