Ok so just to be safe, 500 yards and beyond.. .50BMG? and for below, .338 Lapua Magnum?(dripping with sarcasm here)

Okay so what fps does a 300+gr bullet need to be going at muzzle to be considered "lethal" at 500 yards?
(What's the lethal threshold? .22lrs kills a lot of people yearly... so does .32acp and .38s and .380auto.... and believe it or not, so does .223/5.56 )

How about it, any thoughts or ideas for a big bore bolty in one of these flavors?
How about a Semi Auto that we could make into a bullpup? Maybe using a combo of FAL-PARA/AR parts?
I'm awfully handy with a sheet metal brake, a TIG and molding plastic!

This sounds interesting and like you were saying, right up my ally, especially after my poll last week. I have not looked into the caliber yet but I will be.

300gr .375 @ 1,000 fps? Pshaw!

How about a suppressed 20mm API or HE round @ 1,000 fps instead?
