load
A structural load or structural action is a force, deformation, or acceleration applied to structural elements. A load causes stress, deformation, and displacement in a structure. Structural analysis, a discipline in engineering, analyzes the effects of loads on structures and structural elements. Excess load may cause structural failure, so this should be considered and controlled during the design of a structure. Particular mechanical structures—such as aircraft, satellites, rockets, space stations, ships, and submarines—are subject to their own particular structural loads and actions. Engineers often evaluate structural loads based upon published regulations, contracts, or specifications. Accepted technical standards are used for acceptance testing and inspection.
I am using CBI pistol powder. I have loaded 38spl at 5.4 grams with 125g bullet. It work weel.
My question is does anyone know how many grams I should use for a 158 g bullet.
Also i am loaded 357.
Any info would be appreciated.
I hate to admit it but this little Model 36 is my baby. It's super simple to load for but when you pick it up and pull the trigger it's just amazing. I really like the 3-in barrel and it's got all the good things that make it an old Smith & Wesson a work of art. It's an absolute pleasure to load...

Is this normal…?
I hear folks at range talking about using (maybe “unorthodox”) powders and creat new data.
They mention “similar burn rates” ….. but it seems they kinda take it upon themselves to load without established data. Starting small of course.
Is this how some end up with squibs?

I figure its safe to say one can develop a handload that works in multiple rifles (factory ammo does this...) but I'm not certain the best way to go about it?
A revival of sorts around here turned a pile of spare parts back into another rifle, now I have two, virtually identical caliber rifles...

How many rounds are people loading to test different powder weights to determine a good, overall load? The ammo will be used in standard AR platform rifles for general range use, plinking, and running drills. My plan is to load 9 rounds at each powder weight. 3 will be for shooting across the...
