Peter Royce Brownell (born 1969) is an American businessman. He is the CEO of Brownells, Inc., a supplier of firearm accessories, ammunition and supplies based in Montezuma, Iowa, and served as President of the National Rifle Association from May 2017 to May 2018.Brownell attended the University of Iowa, earning a BBA in Administration and Marketing in 1991 and an MBA in 2001.Brownell began working at Brownells in 1996, became vice president in 2000, president in 2008, and CEO in 2012.
