The .22 Long Rifle (metric designation: 5.6×15mmR) cartridge is a long-established variety of .22 caliber rimfire ammunition, and in terms of units sold is still by far the most common ammunition in the world today.
The cartridge is often referred to simply as .22 LR ("twenty-two--") and various rifles, pistols, revolvers, submachine guns and even some smoothbore shotguns (No. 1 bore) have been manufactured in this caliber.

This is a walnut stock 10-22 with the longer 18.5" barrel. It has a Simons 3 x 9 - 40 scope and a sling. The front band is metal - not plastic. I had a trigger job done professionally and it's very light & responsive. It's had no more than one box of ammo through it. I bought it new 4-5 yrs...
