Are those elk on the base?
No those ones are over by pack wood. I have seen elk on base this year out by the east / roy gate. Are those elk on the base?
I live in Spanaway and go by the east gate all the time. Back in the 90s I used to hunt on the base. I waited until the last weekend of the season when the opened the central impact area. Nobody goes in there all year and that is where most of the deer are. I haven't hunted the base since 9/11 and all the new rules. No those ones are over by pack wood. Yeah, lots of new rules for sure. They are certainly there though if a person wants to put in the time and cut through all the red tape.I live in Spanaway and go by the east gate all the time. That first picture looks like a bunch of rabbits in a field. Then I blew it up...WOW !
Beautiful aren't they? This is a video, I don't know if it will work posting this way. Mt. Lion meets mirror.
While I was trying to hunt, my wife of 55 years, then girlfriend, used to follow me through the woods collecting pine cones in a paper bag.Cool pictures ... As for "sneaking skills" ... I know some guys who couldn't sneak up on a train wreck!

HO-LEE-CRAP! That is so neat. Was that your game camera?Beautiful aren't they?
Actual deer rut does not start until early November. These boys are just prcticing for when they get bigger. The rut started last week in my yard. Spike vs Forky round 1. Not getting real mean or bloody yet, but should not be long.
