your wish is my command boss

That is painfully obvious with you lack of comprehension for the written word....good luck all

First off, I'd like to say that I do not agree with telling anyone to shut up when they offer constructive criticism

You all raised a fair and valid point. That you have to overcome apathy. Well I think that you CAN overcome apathy first finding people that are NOT apathetic about both gun ownership and improving the image of gun owners.

Every cause needs people to believe in the cause enough to get up off their lazy butts and take action. The question is, which are you? One of the Apathetic? One of the ones too busy with watching Downton abby or some other mass market morphine for the soul... or are you someone that cares enough about guns rights to sacrifice some free time and do something?

Here's the thing... apathy is contagious... but so is activism. If you're active, it creates momentum. If you can pull in 2 other people then those two can get two more. Once you start seeing things happen you stop having that inertia that kept you stationary affecting you.

Here's the thing though... I don't hear answers from anyone else... speak up. Everyone here should take a good long look at themselves in the mirror and ask... if you care so much about gun rights... why aren't you answering this thread and giving your own ideas how to improve things?

We shouldn't be satisfied with the status quo. We should be focusing on improving gun ownership rights for all. We should be Rolling back concessions we've made over the years that have proven not to have improved matters.

But all in all it's STILL not much more than performance art... and I hate performance art.
Also something like this is kinda "hippy" if you ask me.
That's part of the target audience but you're right, they'd be saying how insensitive it was etc., Never mind they use blood stained models for PETA campaigns or chalk outlined bodies to represent dead children etc. The only minds this would change is the fence sitters in the middle. Ticking off lefty hippies wouldn't matter and would get the cause exposure perhaps?
BTW I hate performance art too but I'd tolerate white faced mimes if it helped LOL!

Forget all the playacting and put real facts in front of people. Put them there in plain view and do it over and over til they actually see them. Get the Constitution back into schools without marxist intrepretations, but with the letters surrounding the reasons the founders put the amendments there. Get back to the teaching of pride in America again.
Most of all fight to rid the education system of socialist marxist and communists in the admin and the teaching sides. Do all that and the country will see the process and what has happened behind the scenes for the past 50 years.
Skits, playacting is all bs and makes us look as fools.
And get out and campaign against any and all leftists that run for office and support constitution loving candidates in the voting booth. First of all make a commitment to get active and involved and fight to put an end to apathy on the right. There is no more "somebody else will do it"
You have to do it......... YOU ! not someone else. If you cannot do the above, get the H out of the way so that others can.

The reality is very clear, In Vietnam we did not fight with WW2 Tactics.

This is a WAR, believe it or not, and we must stop fighting the war of complaince and start to fight the war of aggression.
I am not saying start riots and burn buildings, but like in Vietnam the enemy did not fight with much honor or fairness.
They fought to kill you plain and simple. The Liberals of this nation want you dead, not by the sword but by the pen,
and they will do what every it takes to see your cold dead body gripping that firearm as the lower you into a grave.

If Liberals could literally kill and succeed they would but they must do anything like cowards in the shadow do.
It is time to become a realist of whom we are fighting here. These are not good people wanting peace. These are very bad people wanting your blood.

It is time to end this once and for all, enough trying to be nice about this, this must end now !!!!!!!!!!!!!

Salted is right, it is near time to finally take the gloves off. In fact it's long past but those who understood were a tiny minority

Ya Blitz, I think I am not even close to being alone in the thought , I am tired of playing fair.

I went to the school yard shared my lunch, even played marbles.

I'm saying now, keep your damn hands off my sandwich, don't touch my marbles and get the hell outta my school yard !
Cause we ain't playin anymore.

In truth Viet Nam could have been won inside a year if we were allowed to fight as America did in WWII.
No politics, no BS, just hard AZZ kicking with little mercy. We faught that war to win. We fought VN to make
fat cats wealthy. By their rules. They manipulated the entire war as a compromise. They killed
58,000 Americans in the process with their ROE.
Casualties as of 9 October 2013:
58,286 KIA or non-combat deaths (including the missing & deaths in captivity)
153,303 WIA
1,643 MIA (originally 2,646)
725-837 POW (660-721 freed/escaped, 65-116 died in captivity)

During the Vietnam War, 30% of wounded service members died of their wounds.

WWII was faught to win.
World War II was the deadliest military conflict in history. Over 60 million people were killed, which was over 2.5% of the world population

World War II fatality statistics vary, with estimates of total dead ranging from 50 million to more than 80 million.[1] The sources cited in this article document an estimated death toll in World War II that range from approximately 60 to 85 million, making it the deadliest war in world history in absolute terms of total dead but not in terms of deaths relative to the world population. The higher figure of 85 million includes deaths from war-related disease and famine. Civilians killed totaled from 38 to 55 million, including 19 to 25 million from war-related disease and famine. Total military dead: from 22 to 25 million, including deaths in captivity of about 5 million prisoners of war.

If war ever breaks out on American soil Americans will fight to win without exception.

The amount of government abuse the people in this country will take is beyond comprehension. The left is winning by giving free healthcare, food stamps to everyone who wants them, infinitly extended unemployment benefits and then washes it all down with low paying jobs; and people smile and ask for more.

The apathy is disgusting. The pride in our workforce, our communities and family is all but lost on most americans right now. They are too busy collecting from the government and worrying about thier iphones, twitter and facebook account status updates to care about anyone or anything else in life.

So what will it take for Americans to wake up and show some interest in our country again and oust all the village idiots running us into the ground; I don't know, I just hope that Americans still have it in them to stand up for themselves to our government someday.

As for Fat Elvis at the Gun-Rally; I will take him at a Gun-Rally than a football game any day of the week. I hope we get more people next year.

One question though; can we have another Rally in the summer? I'm sure more people would turn out and stay longer and the outfits are way better.

Although MikeJ asked super nice for me not to post in these threads , I’ll ask for just one pardon from him

well good, I was there long ago....soooo no more business casual ?.....no more getting my bawlz cut off for wanting to show fangs ? doubtful bro . Some "gun owners" will never realize what needs to be done, those people will sell us out

me too...to think everyone squawking about people brining a rifle to the rally ....a 2A rally !
"We might scare them"..."gun owners won’t show up if you bring your gun" they said.....and all it really took was a football game and some laziness.....I brought a person who didn't have ownership rights anymore because of some trouble years ago that had nothing to do with a gun.....he couldn't wait to go and stand up for our rights to have one, wow, wrap your head around that.....while people with rights sat on their asses

I'd like to see a summer rally, I won’t make it though as I could be shipped to AK or WA or in some dark PNW corner in the summer so it would be nice keep the 19th going as well, I'll stand in 10 feet of snow for it , not really there to look at tail anyway

BTW it sounds like the NFL wants to change the day of the Super Bowl because of weather……makes since the folks who didn’t show have the same mind set….football never stopped for weather in my 8 years of play , nor any year before that.

The very idea that a rally is going to change anything is fantasy. The only realistic course of action, is resistance, first civil and eventually uncivil.

Making common cause with "gun owning liberals" is suicidal. They enable the grabbers, so they can't be seen as anything better than potential traitors. It's not a matter of "if," only one of at "what price" do they find their equivalent to 30 pieces of silver? After all, if their gun rights held any primacy at all, they would not ever vote Democrat. Some other issue, or even personality "problem," is always more important on the ballot, no matter what they might say to your face beforehand.

Liberals with guns voting for pols who give other pols like Prozansky, Feinstein, and Obama the power to disrupt their gun rights remind me of nothing less than smokers who demand that community resources pay for their COPD or lung cancer. "Save me from the problem I have caused." They think that because they exist they deserve something when nothing could be further from the truth. Liberal gun owners think they deserve some kind of "poseur credit" or something, like the smoker "deserves" untold tens of thousands of dollars in medical treatment for having paid a couple of grand in cig taxes before their lungs went down.

Get bent. Hold your own rally filled with speakers who are all hot air as their actions betray their professed beliefs.

Sun Tzu: "Appear weak when you are strong, and strong when you are weak."......and that was just off the top of my head

so the heart-attack belly and mouth breathing are a clever subterfuge and underneath the smokescreen is chuck norris???

but seriously i am/was "weak" in the sense that Elvis is well-connected with the mgmt of the rally etc. this whole thread was something of a preliminary test for a coup d'état in that his speech etc was accepted by the powers that be within the 2a movement. i sought to undermine elvis' legitimacy through sarcasm and gauge public sentiment of his leadership.

MLK to take an example, didn't just rally. A rally, in isolation, achieves nothing more than a feel good photo-op.

There was a "Million Mom" rally a few years back. What became of all that gaseous bellowing?

A rally only matters when it is held when the powers that be forbid it.

I tend to still disagree, I see you give theory in your thought.
However that said, the causes you are using as examples are not the removal of a constitutional right rallies.
If you attend rallies, as I am unsure if you do or not. Let say many a connection is made FTF that would not be done via email, text or internet for very obvious reasons.

You seem like an intelligent man Boats, so lets put it this way do you think everyone is focused just on the speaker at these rallies ? If so then perhaps you should attend and see what very interesting discussions occur in person that never would ever make the voice of the internet. I dare say there is much more I won't say on the net then ever would say. I think most would say the same.

Just some food for thought !

Well lets put it this way, and why I am not pointing at anyone particular.

I slap a firearm owners face at a Rally IN FRONT OF EVERYONE, I then do it again and then his SMACK HIS wife, maybe I slap your little kids, and kick your dog TOO?
Maybe we throw a rock through you car window and piss on your seats?

I GUESS , WHAT WILL IT TAKE FOR GUN OWNERS TO GET RILED UP ABOUT LOSING YOUR RIGHTS WHILE AT A RALLY.
Maybe we can hire people to cut you off and give you the finger, or have the IRS audit you.
I Mean you all tell me at the next rally what I need to do as a firearm owner who realizes rights are slipping away to do to motivate people to look at the reality?

I GUESS, when you lose the rights to arm yourself to protect , your wife, your kids and your dog and your property you will then stand up? NEWS FOR YOU.............by then it will be too late.

Its ok to be a nice guy, heck I think I am a nice guy. But you don't have to slap me, my wife and kids, or kick my dog for me to realize how F-N serious this is. If you knew me, you would know that takes a bit to get me riled up about things and since last year I am not being nice anymore, not towards law makers and not with Puzzy Firearms owners who just do not give a damn.

Hmmm I should have taken the stand last Sunday and said that.,

I draw the line at my dog......smack whoever the hell you want I will bury anyone who kicks my dog.....:s0112:
