Shut down of the FedGov does not impact most citizens in a meaningful way. Welfare recipients and retirees living off social security and medicare yes. Federal employees, yes. The rest of us, what does the FedGov do *FOR* you that you notice regularly? States and cities are not shutting down. County govs are still operational. Essential FedGov agencies are still operational.
Keep it shut down till 2020 for all I care. It may motivate some to get off the couch and start doing for themselves. It may motivate others to care for their elderly and disabled family & friends. If Nanny government can't nanny, thats a good thing. Elderly folk are unlikely to die in droves from this. There probably won't be riots.
Trump can outlast the House if he has the real will. He CAN break the back of the Democrat party if he plays his hand right.
