Camodeafie is right, the news said "5 atmospheric rivers to slam the west coast". Translation, "the forecast is for rain". It's hype to drive views/clicks and it's bull sheet. It's just bubbleguming rain, same as always.

This weekend the news said that about atmospheric rivers and there were photos of how to fill sand bags. We had partly cloudy during the day and a few sprinkles. What a joke!

Last time it was "a bomb cyclone to hit Portland!". Same thing happened we got a few scattered sprinkles and that was it sun was out off and on. It's only hype to make $. The truth doesn't matter much anymore to the local news outlets. Hype and clicks are all that matters.

If you want some fun reading on a really rainy day, look up The Great Flood of 1862. Basically, 2-3 months of continuous atmospheric river. It's why so many towns have historic signs saying "Destroyed by flood in 1862".
