The socialist portion of the left are hell bent on putting the final nail in the coffin of America. They realize that if they lose this they likely lose their path to eternal political power. I believe to many of them this is literally their "Alamo"
I am not sure the rest of America has the will and fortitude to fight this battle the way that is necessary to win. We are at yet another pivotal point in American history and we are less than one generation (possibly one election) away from it being irreparably destroyed...

More seriously, it does illustrate just how worthless and unnecessary an insanely large percentage of our government really is. It also has exposed that our leadership is largely made up of squabbling children.

It is refreshing that there is at least discussion of ending the chaos on the border. On the flip-side, it shows that one of the major parties thinks that the murder, drugs, human trafficking, welfare-dependence, disease, enormous expense, and the rest of that nightmare is just ggggggggreat and needs to continue unabated!

As to civil unrest, I doubt it. Though I believe in being informed politically, it is getting harder by the day to take the circus in DC seriously.

Not to swerve into political, but the only reasons that the Ds are opposing Trump on this is one, they think it gives them points with the Hispanic community ant two, they want to deny Trump fulfilling a campaign promise.

A fact here is what does Trump have to lose as the person. Not a damn thing. He has money, he will get a pension and much more when he leaves. Can't hold the next election over him much, because he again has not allot to lose. He was never a strong Dem or Republican. When he said or years for a shutdown, that means he could hold out until voted out.
If he really has the fortitude this will be the sign right here. He holds until they cave, it will go down in the books
as the best poker hand played. The Dems may have a full house, but Trump might be holding a Royal Flush..


My only fear is many of the elderly whom rely on food stamps. If that is not kept up it could kill people.
