@bameyer

Did anyone get that combo bought yet?

Your deal is on topic with the OPs basic question.

You're offering outstanding value on some universal gear.
Great price for the set, but then again... likely to get more and sell better seperate(?) Someone might have interest in one but not at all in the other and not everyone is into flipping guns... or investing in handgun inventory at the moment if they don't have a personal interest in owning one. Money is tight and 114's a comin....

Just sayin....

...But if you made some for yourself and no longer need them, that sale is OK. You won't usually get more than the cost of the components as most people don't trust other's handloads.

Why buy used for retail $ and be forced to leave a paper trail for your State...
... when you can buy new for retail $ and leave a paper trail for your State?

I haven't sold/bought a "sporting good" for several years now that hasn't been to/from a fellow Idaho resident face-to-face.

(usually with mutual promises to never leave a trail of "positive feedback" on the site we met on... and, I've NEVER had negative feedback.)

You have 3 in college and still have spare cash?? What's your secret!???
  • I expect them to pay at least half of their tuition
  • State schools
  • Two are on substantial academic scholarships.
Consequently, I have no spare cash, and the needs / costs keep piling up. Two of them needed money for fees today, so transferred into their accounts.

I have no issues with budget but I don't need any more guns or parts. I'd buy some more LMT enhanced bolts if I saw 'em though. And ammo.

My wants are many but my needs are few. Couple that with trying to retire in the next few years in this economy and discretion is my main driver.

There is a sweet Smith 38 on there right now but between throwing fat stacks on the mortgage, the impending kitchen remodel to follow, food and gas there is not much room anymore for "want to haves"

My $0.02, prices are still elevated and there's nothing I "need", so I'm waiting for prices to fall. Personally, I have not been impressed by the prices in the classifieds for the most part in the last couple years. Too many sellers trying to use their guns for investment speculation, trying to recoup after buying at the peak of the riot/covid/election panic prices, or simply trying to sell within 10% of new prices. On that last note, if your gun is within like $125 of new, I'd rather just by new; lower risk, better product support, less of a pain to try to arrange a three way meet between me/seller/FFL, etc., and that's the direction my money has shifted. It's pretty common for me to wait a month for a sale and actually save money vs buying used at the prices in the classifieds, and these stale, high-priced ads just sit around and clog up the classifieds.

The stuff that is actually priced well tends to move very fast and competitively, so I can tell it's not just me that feels this way.

$97 to fill up my Pathfinder?
I envy you! I normally have to run my card twice to fill up my rig. Most stations shut off at $125-$150 and that's just not quite enough normally. This is the reason I bought a sh!tbox 99 Escort, gotta bend the knee to Brandon. The little car has already paid for itself in less than a few months though. Plus, I can park anywhere I want, no worry about door dings. This car is the one that others with nice cars cringe when I park next to them 😁

Haa, my pos too makes people assume there is no insurance card in the glove compartment.
Not caring, it comes with being old :D
