Wait time for Background checks in Oregon

Ive never seen it up to 7000 , might be waiting for new gun control to give you out the no and keep the doe.

it's been up to 7k and over a few times now. De facto waiting period in Oregon unless you have a ccw or are lucky.

Called about getting mine in July and offices were closed. Finally opened and soonest I could schedule to get in was April 20. So at least a few month wait for CHL.

I sent in my renewal a few weeks ago. Curious as to where they're at with it. Not due til September, so not really worried.

Looks like I'll just pay the sales tax and buy the gun in WA. At least they do instant checks.

I got a delay and decided to go to another store and try again. Went through instantly. Sometimes the ffl messes up the submission to osp and they delay it.

Sold two pistols today to two different forums members. Both had CHLs and were approved within 10 minutes.

Also bought my own pistol with CHL, instant approval.

I have. CHL but my dealer misspelled my name. The computer accepted it and didn't bounce back. Anyway to remedy this or do I just have to wait out the 2 weeks?

FFL calls OSP, leaves message to correct, if that is not well received your FFL calls back to cancel and then resubmit application.

First wait on the list is over, Low 5000's to start, Mar 21st to April 3rd. Have been instant until then with only a driver's license on all types of guns. The delay came from doing two transfers within the same day.

5 min or so when useing your CHL at M&K Tactical.They say its better to use the CHL I don't know why but i've had no problems with my last two gun buys there last one 3 weeks ago. they have lots of 9mm there to but its costly.

CHL is linked to DMV records in OR - I think .... so technically shouldn't matter but I use CHL anyway.
