Just purchased a rifle from a great member here, normally Im instant. Took 30 mins.
YEARS of instant and the other day was the first time I've had to wait. Felt odd, certainly some lag time on BGC now, even for the instant folks.

They sure seem to be slow walking them. They used to do a few thousand a day. Now doing a few hundered a day.
They would pull 15k/day.

I've never had to wait before. I found it odd it wasn't instant. 30 mins wasn't bad, but certainly a sign the system is lagging.
I assume people are still in buy mode while they can. All summer long.
Yeah, it's weird it wasn't instant or long wait.

While I waiting, a guy came in and asked if the shop was buying used guns and they said "no". They have to much in their inventory. This is a decent sized shop with 2 locations.

Here's an update on background check for a pistol purchase. Last Tuesday filled out the paperwork and it was submitted.
Today, Monday, I get call from my LGS and the background check is approved and ready for pickup. I picked it up during my lunch break.
I could have picked on Friday because the 3 day rule, but it was a busy day for me.
So the results came back in 6 calendar days.

I did a private transfer Saturday at a gun shop in Wilsonville. I was #2100 in cue, dealer said probably a week to clear.

IMHO we are seeing a backdoor approach to gun control. I can see our commie out of Eugene putting forth legislation next session that will make us wish for the good old days of now.
Only if your FFL would let you. The three day rule says they MAY release your firearm to you not that they MUST.

My LGS does the 3 day pickup rule. No reason to shop there if the didn't. It's a Free Market, the buyer can choose where to shop.

No, they MUST release my gun after 3 days or they are not my FFL...
