Well in the spirit of trimming down my inventory I grabbed one of my 3/5 cigars, a PDR 1878 Capa Natural. 7x58 and very nice wrapper and presentation with the foot just folded over and the head swirled into a pigtail.
I immediately thought there was no way I was going to finish this... too woody and light.
So I fired up a Brickhouse Maduro 6x60 to replace it.
Figured I'd give it one last chance as I didn't want to just chuck it - it isn't the most expensive cigar I have but the 5 pack I got wasn't exactly on the cheap side either.
Before I tossed the PDR I wanted to give it one last shot. The taste had changed completely! Tastes strongly of cedar with a cherry not behind it, fairly pleasant.
It also makes the Maduro taste much sweeter then normal.
Now I find myself with nothing but time and 2 big fat cigars lit - life could be worse.
I may have to try this again should I run into something that's just not tasting that great for me
