If we give it to the afghan army it is no longer ours to control. Our mistake was believing that the afghans would actually try to manage their own country. It would not have made a difference if we stayed for another twenty years if the Afghans would not have the balls to fight for their way of life. Why did Trump not get us out - it was because it was a mess his term did not want to deal with so he kicked the can down the road. I am happy we are out of there even if it did not go perfect.

Apparently the majority wanted a conservative Islamic state with Sharia Law.
Now the Taliban will have to fight ISIS-K because ISK wants an even more conservative form of Islam.

We have to realize that not all these little countries want to be like us.

I noticed this yesterday that now there is a campaign of misinformation to try a debunk the huge eff up this administration has done. I have noticed several so-called news stories stating that the US did infact destroy our equipment while the Taliban flies one of our Blackhawk choppers over Kabul with a dead body hanging from it. They effed up big tim e and now the lies are going to pound the media to the point everybody will believe their lies. Mass pchycology, tell a big enough lie enough times it must be the truth, right?

I believe that when the ANA surrendered/withdrew that the Taliban got their weapons and vehicles.
I also believe that what materiel that we had under our control was destroyed/de-milled.
Value ? That will be debated until the end of time.

The list of captured equipment is what we gave Afghanistan over 20 years, what percentage of that is still functional? There is plenty of footage already of taliban inspecting mulitple Blackhawks with lots of missing parts and damage.
