Well this happened on the 4th 40S&W case I deprimed and belled on the turret press. I usually just turn the turret by hand after a cycle, this time I didn't turn it to the notch… :eek: :eek::eek:

I don't generally quote myself but when I do:

It's because I realize something that was in my post that just came to view, well after I posted.

I just zoomed in on the first pic, that scrunched case looks kinda like a duck face. s0140.gif s0140.gif s0140.gif
Or am I hallucinating??? :s0110::s0110::s0110:

Amazing destruction. Not a "mistake" but a destructive test from ARC, pretty extensive damage, shows how wrong things can go when they really go wrong!

(Photo pulled from the internet. Not mine, just kidding)
Never blown up anything with my reloads.
I did shoot my chronograph once doing load development. Does that count as a reloading mistake?

I'm going to say that counts haha. I made some rounds for my friends 500 Smith & Wesson and he got nervous with that thing and accidentally shot my chronograph. Top Notch dude though he bought me a new one. He didn't have to accidents happen.

Note 1 to self, trying to chronograph Seecamp .32 maybe hazardous to my chronograph...
Note 2 to self, after repairing chronograph don't set it on back of truck prior to backing out of garage...
Note 3 to self, who cares how fast factory ammo is from mouse guns...

Yesterday I took a bunch of .308 ammo to the range for load testing. I had loaded 5 rds. each of six different powder charges, ranging form 42.0 gr. to 43.0 in .2 grain increments. The loads were all in a 50 rd. box, with the first of 5 marked with the charge weight. As I moved around on the mat, I dumped the box over. So, I had only 6 rounds that were marked, all the rest were a mixed up mess.

Glad I have a collet puller....
