Interesting I just read this silly pile of crap and one of the things I noticed was that the way its written I would have to modify my M1 Garand to only take a 5 rd clip. Which I'm not sure is even possible. It also has no comment on the 100's of thousands of people who already have thousands of rounds of ammo or small truck loads of reloading components. Obviously written by either idiots or children. OH yea idiot children.

There are 5 round clips out there for the M1. There are also 1 and 2 rounders.

I do think that the anti gun folks WILL GO AFTER tubular fed RF lever action rifles.

I think that they will go after the tubular fed CF pistol caliber lever action rifles too.

The side loading gate lever action CF rifles that I know of hold various cartridges (4 or 5) depending on the brand and the cartridge. I am only thinking about what I previously owned there and what my husband owned in the past and what he still owns in the present. (30-30 and 45-70 as an example to you.)

I think that they will go after revolvers because that is their GOAL too.

CF and RF revolvers. Some are 5 shots, some are 6 shots, some are plus = 7 and some hold a higher count of rounds. I don't know what some of the newer d/a revolvers are in many makes but I had one that was an 8 round Smith and Wesson Model 317 kit gun 20 some years ago bought new. Mine did Not have the stupid optic green front sight that they have now. Mine had a fixed metal blade front sight, adjustable rear sight, 3 inch barrel, etc.

Some of the new single action revolvers hold more than six rounds too. Mine were 6 shooters only. I only owned the Ruger Brand for my CF and RF (22lr/22wmr) super single action revolvers but many people have the newer styles in various brands with more capacity.

They will go after anything that trips their trigger - no pun intended.

And yeah, many older people who did a LOT of competitive shooting and/or just a lot of shooting usually reloaded a lot. Big competitions, self defense skills, teaching, writing articles for books/magazines and these people did not just shoot their rifle or shotgun before hunting season.

So even if these men/women don't shoot an AR 15 rifle or whatever else in a semi automatic rifle and/or if they previously owned some type of AR 15 and decided that they liked an old fashioned style gun, well, I would not call ALL of those people FUDDS. MANY people who own old fashioned firearms like them but they do STAND UP FOR another gun person who chooses to buy, own, carry and shoot whatever GUN (Rifle, handgun, shotgun.) that they like in brand name, looks, capacity, caliber, etc.

My husband likes his few bolt action and lever action rifles. He owned a sweet Bushmaster (Made in Maine) in .223 but he never bonded with it as he did his other rifles including some other, former, famous ones in a semi automatic action. I was the one who encouraged him to buy that former Bushmaster many, many moons ago.

He likes some things in rifles for shooting in different terrains and distances.

He likes/liked all kinds of 1911 pistols, s/a and d/a revolvers, and so forth. Yeah, he even likes the couple of pistols that he decided to keep for conceal and open carry too. Yeah, he likes Glocks too. Grin.

Added more.

Some men/women might not compete officially as they USED TO DO but they still shot/shoot a lot and often before and after retirement. The more they shot... the more they reloaded. That goes for the middle aged and older people that I knew/know. Some are dead now.

I met some younger guys out here who reload at our range. They shoot a LOT and they reload too. So as I said before... they will go after reloading supplies. LOOK at the shortages of that STUFF after the CT murders. NOT all of it was fake shortages in the same state or in many states across this nation.

Heck, our LOCAL NEWS and on the national news showed people in BOZEMAN, MT and in other parts of MT not being able to buy simple boxes of 30-30, .308 and even some places were short in 30-06 and in SPECIFIC brands and gauges of shotgun shells. NO kidding. I can't speak for your state other than I know that different parts of MT were short and not just in large towns. This was during one hunting season where one guy was telling his buddy about the shortages and his friend and others thought that he was nuts or going overboard when he spoke about the shortages. And that man on the news did RELOAD and he did reload for his friend. He did have some factory ammo too.

These bills do not apply to me, nor did SB941 or any other law the passed denying me access to my civil right.
Not saying have or will break such laws, saying they do not apply to me in Oregon.

Yes, that works so well for IRS and non-payment of taxes.

people who don't secure their firearms got sued or jail time.

So, you like this bill then... you believe the government should determine not only what I do with my firearms in my own home, but that I am responsible rather than the person that stole it or misused it. Seems very Fuddish to me!!

I wonder if we would even be allowed to shoot in another state with friends at their range? Travel with a gun legally to their state and shoot with them not just them coming HERE to shoot with us.
Cate

We have people from nearby Idaho coming to shoot IDPA with us here in E Oregon. Some from S WA too. Sucks to think that those kind of restrictions could happen and no reason or logic to it.

^^Well, if it were to pass, there'll probably a good number of folks travelling outta state to buy ammo

Probably. I'd also imagine that if this monstrosity (or something like it) passes, coupled with the avalanche of new tax laws, we're going to see a lot of Oregonians leave the state for good. If so, the implosion will just accelerate à la California.

Actually yes, many times things do not apply.

.
Seems people are getting so heated on this topic they are not reading what people are saying.
Saying it doesn't apply.how is that saying I support it, sure hope that was sarcasm !

I do read, and did. You are not understanding my reply. My point was that what you wrote is what all the tax protestors say... that the tax laws don't apply to them.

So gun laws don't apply to you?

Is there any case at all where this type of statement has been used successfully as a defense for not complying with the law? Hmmm, maybe we should ask Capone.

:D

Yes.. it has been used.........the issues are to explain how and what is done is surely incriminating one self.
So I explained it as I did........ not really going to in an open forum say hey I avoid taxes and break gun laws LOL.
And here are the steps LOL..
Besides thats I am a good little lock step citizen, and do exactly what uncle same wants me to :D. no law breaker here.
And no guns either after that tragic boat accident. Kate Brown is my hero, and I have a Man Bun appointment at 3pm and a pedicure.
after I have some Kale and Tofu for lunch.:D

I'm going to say it... "I avoid taxes"!!! Well, that's not illegal in and of itself. So there. :p:p;)

Avoiding is not evading. Everyone should avoid taxing that they don't need. If you feel like giving more, then give to some organization that does what you want to see in the world.
I avoid wearing womens underwear, see how weird it gets when we use the word avoid:rolleyes:

I wonder what "I evade gun laws" would be taken as...

Speaking of giving more, people that want higher taxes can voluntarily pay more taxes... do they? I was raised with charitable giving encouraged. I still have charities that I support because yes they function in a way that I appreciate and support. And despite America trying to replace charity with the nanny state, Americans are still the most charitable on the planet!!!

Kind reminds me of the famous poem:

First they came for the socialists, and I did not speak out—
Because I was not a socialist.

Then they came for the trade unionists, and I did not speak out—
Because I was not a trade unionist.

Then they came for the Jews, and I did not speak out—
Because I was not a Jew.

Then they came for me—and there was no one left to speak for me.

Replace proper nouns above with: Center fire semi automatics, tubular magazines, multi-shot revolvers

If we as a society allow other's natural rights and personal property to be annulled and/or confiscated, how can we think that we will be immune?

Yep, we have to understand that compliance on giving up even a part of a civil right is dangerous and careless.
We have to oppose the laws, kinda like how they do their sanctuary states, so must we oppose tyranny and the many faces it
comes in. They want to take away our civil rights, we say no.

If someone gets her on records saying that, it could be used if it ever made it to the appeals process in court.

Considering how strongly the people outside of Salem and Portland feel about the 2nd Amendment, and the number of people who've taken the Oath, I have to wonder if this bill makes it to the floor for a vote, will there will be enough democrat legislators alive to pass it?

I was talking with my son about this, do they realize how dangerous it is to look at passing such a thing, they surely must be aware they are in danger pushing something this outrageous . Many gun owners in person, have said over this, I hope they realize what could happen. Its stupid and careless, not to mention dangerous.
