Not too mention not wanting to ride on sidewalks and alleyways where someone can quickly step out in front of you. Guess kids NEVER run into streets, alleys, sidewalks, step out of parked cars, and then there's clothesline's and dogs.

Taking a gun out into a public space, and aiming it at peoples heads is so bubbleguming far down the list of rational responses for this is boggles my mind you would even consider this.

Sounds like a dumb event to me designed to annoy people. An excuse to get out on your bike and fir a purpose for which they were not entirely designed for the purpose of. People out on the side lines means nothing. People will stand around and watch anything. Hell people watch fishing shows and golf.

I think everyone was in the wrong. I think your fairly inconsiderate for people who have to work graveyard, Environment, time and place etc. Doesnt make what he did right. But i can easily see where someone people would be drivin to it.

Go ride your bikes in the dirt and enjoy them. Personally i think ALL motor vehicles should be muffled. I cant stand them loud (for street purposes). The point is to go fast and have fun and be agile not loud.
If you want to do that get an air horn and see how people react when you drive everywhere blaring it.

Take your event somewhere else next time.

I think this falls under the guidlines of "while i dont agree with what he/she is saying i will fight to the death for her/his right to say it."
When i believe in the second amendment its not " i only beleive the most stringently vetted individuals deserve to own them" i think ALL people should be allowed to own them the more the merrier. The more there is to keep other questionable ones in check.

I think its simple. Who INITIATED the encounter. You did. Therefore, blame yourself. It all could have been avoided. Its the same as looking way down the road for problems before they are right infront you. You need to learn to see and predict problems BEFORE they arise.

Thoughts ... I've ridden with about every group you can think of. Independent hardcore Harley riders (no territory patch gangs, though I have played guitar for many of them)
VME (Vintage Motorcycle Ethusiasts of Portland and Tacoma)
And groups of musician friends going in weekend rides.
The ride in the video above is borderline legal (riding on grass, sidewalks etcetera)
and reminds me of slightly Hooligan acts which aren't really threatening to me, but might be to others.
The guy brandishing the gun was out of line, but wouldn't bother me much until he started pointing a weapon directly at me or someone else ... which I'm not sure happened. (wondering if the OP saw first hand)
Both parties stepping a bit over the line.
Let it go. Stay away from his alley next ride.
Expect some flak when you're riding like "Buttery & Meduim"

Jesus! When I saw the title of the thread I immediately though of the rude, Azz-Hat Hardly Neverson riders that think their unmuffled, rough running, oil leakers sound cool with 3' of straight pipe! But no, it was muffled trail bikes. What was there? 1-2-300 riders coming through for 30-60-120 minutes? No. It looked like 20 guys maybe? Were they running back and forth at high speed, all times of day or night? If those home owners are so put out to have a few muffle cycle riders come through their alleys once a year they should get them some effing homeless people to set up in their alleys. What the hells with that anyway? No homeless camps? Not potland? Be sure some of THOSE miscreants have those little scooters with no mufflers too. Don't forget the junky cars that barely run, and the exhaust pipe is broken off at the manifold. Because of the drugs they do, or that they feel safer being out at night, they do all their running around in the junkers in the middle of the night.

PLEASE LORD! Give me a neighborhood, with alleys, and not streets lined with homeless that the city lets do as they please.

And I "think" those alleyways are "Private Property" like the sidewalk in front of your house is private property. I used to live near Alberta at NE 27th. Crack alley was only a few blocks away. The alleys we had there were useful for all sorts of drugs, crimes and debauchery!

Did you watch the video? There was maybe 40-50? They were going fast/racing/draggin' they were on sidewalks, railroad property, burnouts.

I used to do this kinda stuff with my 80's honda 50 when i was a kid in my own backyard because i lived in the woods but not out like that. That just retarded.

Ya i probably would want to wave a gun around as well. Sometimes i think people should get more used to having guns pulled on them (if you deserve it) Its a legit way for people to say "F off im warning you"and shouldn't be regarded as crazy. Its just common sense animals do jt all the time. Its a defensive posture for idiots less in tune to good judgement. Just take note that hes seriously had it and then comply or do whatever you will. Its your choice after that. Cops can do it and its not a crime. I dont think there much Cops should be able to do we as citizens cant without undue bias.
"Bubblegum" is getting out of control though. We need more checks and balances. I see this as a legitimate use.

Seeing a lot of folks pointing out both sides as being wrong in there decisions of what they did do.

The fellow brandishing/menacing was absolutely in the wrong. No if ands or buts about it.

The folks out for there fun ride, or intentionally anoying ride (interpretation), may have been in the wrong as well.

Please point out fellow forum members whom are of the opinion that it would perfectly acceptable behaviour to shoot non-threats.
