This definitely wasn't on my radar when I entered one of my LGS this morning. Buckeye Special, a limited run of 5000 Ruger Blackhawk in 10mm/.38-40. Been fired, but still looks new. Looking at what these are going for versus what they were asking, I couldn't pass. Just need to find some dies.

A friend ordered one from Buckeye way back when, but missed out. He did get the ammo he ordered to go along with the gun...

Really cool gun, @Dr_Lou .

Wonder why Ruger didn't also include a .40 S&W cylinder for a trifecta. :s0153:

Nice find.

Why are we posting pictures of revolvers? I mean geez what kind of person likes revolvers? I mean who even has revolvers? Pistols are semi automatic not revolvers!

I mean come on!

Oh yeah I'm one of those people!!!! And I ordered a Colt King Cobra! Going after a Colt Python, Anaconda and probably a Smith too!:D:s0042:

This morning a coworker and FFL showed me a list of guns a buddy of his was selling. After perusing the list of probably 50 guns, the only two that caught my eye were a 6" Colt Python (1976) and Colt Gold Cup National Match (1977). Both are pristine, showing very little use - probably 97% or better. The owner accepted my offer of $3K for both. The Python came with the wonky target grips in the picture as well as the original, no boxes. I am not much of a Colt aficionado, but they were too pretty to let go home with someone else.

Colt Pythons: Found the 4" (1961) today and 6" (1976) last week. Both came with factory and aftermarket grips, but no box. They make a nice couple.

Stepped on another snake at this past weekend's show in Vegas. Been hunting for a new 4" Python since I shot one at the 2020 SHOT Show media day.
It runs great! It eats magnums like I eat jelly beans.

I'm still kicking myself for passing up a Model 15. I was at the local gun shop where I saw an excellent+ condition 15-3 with original box, for $500. I immediately thought of a friend who had recently told me he wanted to buy a nice K-frame S&W .38 with adjustable sights, so I snapped a photo and texted it to him.

I instantly regretted it, as I realized that I wanted to buy it myself, but it was too late. He was already excited about it and on his way. C'est la vie! :(
