On topic, has anyone driven Division Street between SE 122nd and 182nd lately?? What a ClusterFork!! There's enough crap in the street to piss off the pope!! Blocks-long sections you can't turn left through, bus stops that force the bus to stop in traffic, miscellaneous curbs in the intersections. I find it all very calming!!

I grew up not too far from 112th and 122 ave, between Stark and Division! It was a Sh!t show way back then, much worse now! Last June we had to take Dad to Portland for medical needs and while there, took a trip down memory lane, boy has it changed for the worse! It used to be pretty easy to find things, but now, everything is crammed into a small space and you drive by something three times before you find it! And Division St. Is a frickin hot mess from about 109th all the way to 182nd! Stark isn't much better, from about 96th all the way to 162 is a zoo, as are most all the east/west streets! Old Felony Flats has sure outdone it's self, in the 38 years since I lived there, it managed to actually lower it's standards of low standards! It's almost better to live in Beggers Tik ( Johnson Creek/Foster Road) then anywhere else, at least when it rains, it washes out the whole area, the rest of Felony Flats just piles on the nasty!

So today our finance department was having a problem with their software. Our manager asked us to think up some out-of-the box solutions.

I suggested a traffic barrel.

You do realize that Wapato jail was sold by the city for a HUGE loss don't you? I forgot what the sale amount was now, but it was something like 16 mil? Or even as pathetic as 6 mil? Stoopid. stoopid low, considering what the original cost was many years before to build it.

Hardesty: Barrels to calm Portland high-speed shootings

City Commissioner Jo Ann Hardesty has ordered the Portland Bureau of Transportation to install the barrels in the Mt. Scott-Arleta neighborhood.

Mayor Ted Wheeler has called the shootings an epidemic. City Councilor Mingus Mapps, who is Black, characterized the gun violence as a "cancer in our city."

So Mr Mapps is identified as "Black".... Why isn't Mr. Wheeler identified as "White"?
