The NRA pistol instructor cert is normally a day and a half (12 hours). You also need to complete the NRA basic class before you take the instructor class. I let my old cert lapse a few years ago and had to do the full class again last year. Grand total of 3 very long days, but most places that we looked at do it in 4.I just renewed mine, that's simple enough to do online. The original course was a full week
Well mine was for the government so I'm sure they added some extra bs.....we did rifle, pistol and shotgun in a very long 5 days. Then once a year I had to teach all 3 to our feild specialistsThe NRA pistol instructor cert is normally a day and a half (12 hours). The rifle and shotgun modules/specialties are separate now, so that probably covers the difference. All very different from when I did my original cert back in the '90s.Well mine was for the government so I'm sure they added some extra bs.....we did rifle, pistol and shotgun in a very long 5 days. Anyone know where I can get certified locally? Thanks in advance.
