Another reason I'll be avoiding crowds
Being an introvert has given me natural immunity.Another reason I'll be avoiding crowds
Or crowded cities. People == troubleAnother reason I'll be avoiding crowds
You should marry somebody who has the "moth into flame" gene.Being an introvert has given me natural immunity.
That wold be counterproductive. My wife would kill me if I married someone else! You should marry somebody who has the "moth into flame" gene.
So much fun
Family economic crisis..... The question I will ask requires you to give an opinion of our lives today and what is the number 1 thing you think is the most dangerous risk to your survival? ...
Sell the wife. Most likely survival threat
That would be my wife finding out how many guns I really have...
No one could afford my price.Sell the wife.
Tremendously funny movie. I recommend. Two thumbs up.This question reminds me of the title of a show I never watched. I think it was called A Million Ways To Die In The West. Don't know if it was any good
When the government destroyed the economy here in Oregon over the spotted owl it caused a number of suicides. A friend worked driving logging truck for a local company that lost due to the forest shut down. Company owner lost everything and was too old to start over and he killed himself. I went to school with his son and knew other drivers working for him. Owner worked all his life putting together a business and the state destroyed it without a second thought.Family economic crisis.
Reasons? Could be any of a multitude, so no sense really delineating such.
More common would be health related. Either due to an accident, or an illness.
Less common (for US, in OUR circumstance) could be Regional /national / global economy related. ie: job loss, WITHOUT equivocal short term replacement.
As far as EVERYTHING ELSE? About ANYTHING is possible. Earthquake, fire, flood, volcano, tornado, war, etc etc.
All are far less likely than a personal/family financial crisis secondary to any number of things...
I do a very similar thing. Get refills every 90, but skim some off of the top. Then I monitor my BP regularly to make sure there are no bad effects.I have 3-6 months worth of BP/heart meds. If I run out I would die immediately, but I won't live as long either. By the end of next year I should have a year's worth of meds on hand; Amazon pharmacy refills every 22-23 days, so there is an overlap each time and it adds up to about 5 months worth extra per year.
I agree that the "armed robbery" or other assault while in public is probably the most likely and not the time your 12 ga. or AR would even be available. Given that, my concealed sidearm is my "go to" weapon out there. My long gun is at home.No BS: A kid I grew up was on his roof, messing with the TV antenna at the request of his dad. He fell off the roof with a screwdriver in his hand. He was found dead, face-down with the screwdriver through his eye and into his brain.
That's some Final Destination crap if I ever saw it.
Been there! The difficulty is I can't think of a list that people consider threats in their lives. Heck somebody might be in a fight with rabid raccoons in their yard and that's what their threat is.
I try for the 90 day refills when Amazon allows them - some meds they don't, and sometimes they allow it, other times they don't. Not sure if it is Amazon or the Dr., but I go for whatever I can get. Sometimes renewals of prescriptions overlap too.I do a very similar thing. Get refills every 90, but skim some off of the top. Then I monitor my BP regularly to make sure there are no bad effects.
Statistically speaking, that probably goes for most. I stopped commuting because of the clueless fools out there. The biggest threat to my life is vehicle accident. I work four days a week and I'm generally in a vehicle nearly 10 hours per working day. The biggest thing I do to help mitigate that is to anticipate every other vehicle as a missile, piloted by an unaware idiot, bent on my demise.
I've lost count of all of the vehicular crashes I have been in. Some were very serious (like the time I flipped a car end for end - twice, at 80 MPH - or the time I laid a motorcycle down at 80 MPH), most were just fender benders. The last one (2018), I was commuting into Portland for my job and I got hit hard from behind while sitting in stop & go traffic (that was just the last of at least a dozen times I have been hit from behind in traffic).Statistically speaking, that probably goes for most. I stopped commuting because of the clueless fools out there.
