Agreed! It would also be helpful if there aren't 6-7-8, or who knows how many repubs running in the primary for the gov's office. The Republicans need to get solidly behind only 2-3 candidates. And then hope that the Republican voters, every one of us, vote for the one that's most likely to win. Not the non-starter, like last time.

I really wish she'd hold that rifle like she knew what she was doing. Maybe she does but that's not a good picture. No one I know, military background or not, holds an AR like that.

7 yds – quick reaction drills (2 shots in 5 seconds, pistol is not holstered, pointed down at 45 degrees) 4 of these for eight total shots.
15 yds – magazine change/sustained fire (3 shots from first mag, 3 shots from the second mag, all in 20 seconds) two of these for 12 total shots.
40 shots and 400 possible points. Use a standard NRA 50-yd pistol target.
345-expert
330-sharpshooter
290-marksman (minimum)"

345/40... needs an average score of just over 8.8 per round, so as long as you keep 'em all in the 9-ring you're good.

Breaking that down further...
330/40 = mostly 8's with a few 9's or 10's to get Sharpshooter
290/40 = need a 3-1 split of 7's and 8's just to qual

Regardless of the weapon, when your platoon sergeant, a huge Samoan who won the "Mr. Fort Bragg" body building contest 2 years in a row, tells the platoon at the range safety briefing that "everyone shoots expert today". Well... everyone shoots expert that day.
