Now, the Japanese government is considering banning most people from buying, selling, or owning these semi-automatic bow and arrows.
Japan has prohibited unregistered possesion and carry of firearms and swords with blade length over 15 cm. (150mm)Wow... soon the way of the samurai and all martial arts will be banned.
Wouldn't that be "bolt" action?

Didn't the martial arts and related hand made weapons result from the peasant class finding their own means of protection from an overbearing ruling class?Wow... soon the way of the samurai and all martial arts will be banned.
And the shoulder thing that goes up.I'm sure these semiautomatic crossbows load from high capacity "clips" which hold more than 10 armor piercing arrows.

I'd prefer a crossbow. In the movies, they just break the arrow off where it enters the body and continue fighting. I would just do that.If you're going to be shot and have a choice, would it be a firearm or a cross bow? Fire arm for me.
hahahahaah `Del Boy and Rodney ` lololol..you need to be a britbox watcher to get that joke..This brings me to the subject of firearms in Thailand. With a lot of stats from the other SE Asian Countries.
Aloha, Mark
Reminds me of this, ol' Jerry testing out a 30 caliber magazine clip, in his fully semi automatic assault weapon.

Already happened.
In 16th century Japan, Toyotomi Hideyoshi went so far as to confiscate every single sword in Japan not owned by a samurai or daimyo (lord).
-followed by-
Known as the Haitorei Edict, during the Meiji Period and Restoration (1868-1912), the social class of samurai was abolished, banning non-government officials from carrying swords. A Sword Hunt followed leading to the confiscation of all weapons and swords in Japan by the government.
2) "In colonial Philippines, the Spanish outlawed weapon and training. So, the natives used "traditional dancing" to teach and train."
See also capoeira in Brazil - analogous situation.
In Japan after the swords were confiscated the peons adapted techniques for using ordinary agricultural implements and other tools as weapons
