Wholesale Sports in Salem had one yesterday, but I couldn't get anyone to wait on me (they were a bit busy) so I couldn't see if it was the 77/357 or the 77/44. It's an interesting rifle for sure, I've though about it as a home defense/coyote gun for my parents.

I do have 357 and 45c lever guns, but I couldn't get the need for the bolt gun.
Nwcid, you must be loading those slow. I know the 44 screams though a 20" lever gun. They push 2k,no? (factory type loads)

I do not have one but I know they are very popular with hog hunters. I believe they are using .44 special brass and loading accordingly.

I have a .44 lever gun from when I use to shoot "cowboy action".
