It's not a real vent hole or anything people are talking about, you just don't want the door super tight. It will vent out of the seal around the door, on quality safes there is a door adjustment to make it tighter or looser.

Well that makes more sense than saying a safe is "vented". To me, that reminds me of the smoke vent on my Traeger. :D
 
Regardless...... if it's as air tight as a frogs a-hole is water tight, I wouldn't go out of my way to try and "vent" it.
