Dark lyrics.I wear this crown of sh*t
Upon my liars chair
Full of broken thoughts
That I cannot repair
Understandable for one who has been at the bottom of things....
There is a way out though

You can read most anything you want into lyrics. The Beatles wrote some of the most nonsensesical lyrics ever. The Walrus...Sgt Peppers..on and on. The Doors produced some amazing lyrics right after being bombed on acid. You can find interpretations of every song writers meanings posted everywhere, but really unless you get it straight from the artist you can draw anything into it.
Take Cream's White Room :
In the white room with black curtains near the station
Blackroof country, no gold pavements, tired starlings
Silver horses ran down moonbeams in your dark eyes
Dawnlight smiles on you leaving, my contentment
I'll wait in this place where the sun never shines
Wait in this place where the shadows run from themselves
You said no strings could secure you at the station
Platform ticket, restless diesels, goodbye windows
I walked into such a sad time at the station
As I walked out, felt my own need just beginning
I'll wait in the queue when the trains come back
Lie with you where the shadows run from themselves
At the party she was kindness in the hard crowd
Consolation for the old wound now forgotten
Yellow tigers crouched in jungles in her dark eyes
She's just dressing, goodbye windows, tired starlings
I'll sleep in this place with the lonely crowd;
Lie in the dark where the shadows run from themselves
Jack Bruce was the finest bass player to have ever played, and his creativity was genius.
Most songs have the lyrics written, and they match it up with music later, or vice versa, where somebody has some good runs and puts it all together. Some stuff lays dormant for years until it all comes together.
I once read a funny interpretation of that. The theory was that whole line was to help girls in the transition to becoming women. As far as nonsensical lyric's go, Led Zeppelin's "If there's a bustel in your hedge row" line always cracks me up.
Didn't Springsteen write that? How about Manfred Mann's Earth Band - Blinded by the Light for non-sensical lyrics.

Trent Reznor said he wrote it, but Johnny Cash 'owned' it.
