Sounds like someone was at the school and caused a commotion when leaving, drew a gun and struggled with the cops escorting him out. Cops then shot the guy and placed the school under lock. Nobody but the guy was shot and they've declared this situation cleared.

So while it wasn't an active shooter situation and no shots were fired in the school and no kids or staff were injured nor police. I don't think this one quite panned out for fuel for why we need the new bills that've been put up so far. Though I am sure there will still be a slew of THIS IS WHY WE NEED GUN CONTROL!

Oh when these happen I just think to myself, Ok whats the bill or legislation season we aren't seeing or hearing about until AFTER the damage has been done. Rinse repeat and always apply pressure to 2A advocates on yearly repeat.

When do Gun owners become a civil rights protected class? I mean it IS in the CONSTITUTION and ruled by the SUPCO in DC vs Heller. Just wanting to hear a legit reason why we aren't under such protection. I get this may open a can of worms but this IS a site about safe/responsible/lawful gun use and its many legal aspects so why not?. Another big one. Why are we always on the reactionary. If I remember right most self defense classes teach you to be on the defensive and put your opponent on the reactionary. I can't fathom why after getting a SUPCO in our by ruling DC v Heller and all the money put into the NRA/GOA/OFF why is it there is never something put forth to say "SHALL NOT BE INFRINGED" at the State level?.

I feel I am asking honest questions since how long has gun control been going on now (long before I was born or thought of). Just my 2 cents.

Well we are a civil right group, but neither OFF or the NRA are smart enough to take that route.......why? I
have no idea, as I always have looked at the second as a civil right.

My daughter goes to Willamette High, which is right next to Cascade Middle. She texted me, scared, saying they heard gunshots, and were in lockdown at the moment. I'm not going to lie, I was pretty freaked out, then immediately went on the premiere news source, " Facebook", and found that the situation was contained, which I immediately informed her of. Even though everything happened outside the school, and involved no teachers or students, it is still going to be added to the inflated school shooting stats now.
