Clackamas and Washington County Sheriffs will NOT be sending deputies to assist the PPD. Seems Kate Brown forgot to ask them if it was okie dokie to put their deputies in harms way when the DA refuses to prosecute and has a revolving door policy regarding rioters.

"... But Monday afternoon, Washington County Sheriff Pat Garrett and Clackamas County Sheriff Craig Roberts said they would not send deputies to Portland as the governor requested.

Roberts said Brown didn’t contact him before she revealed her plan Sunday night. He said his sheriff’s office would assist Oregon State Police (OSP) with their calls for service in Clackamas County while OSP resources are being used in Portland.

“The only way to make Portland safe again, is to support a policy that holds offenders accountable for their destruction and violence. That will require the DA to charge offenders appropriately and a decision by the Multnomah County Presiding Judge not to allow offenders released on their own recognizance, and instead require bail with conditions,” Roberts said.

Earlier this month, Multnomah County District Attorney Mike Schmidt said his office wouldn’t prosecute cases where the most serious charge was a city ordinance violation, such as interfering with a peace officer. Schmidt said assault and arson charges would still be prosecuted.

Washington County Sheriff Pat Garrett said his office would help PPB through indirect ways such as air support and assisting with specific criminal investigations. But he said he would not send deputies to Portland and voiced similar concerns to Sheriff Roberts. ..."

Mr. Ngo is not a credible source.

Seriously -- the post you complain about i's a link to a video. Antifa would have us believe the video doesn't exist or that Andy Ngo used epic Blender skills to conjure it into existence. That video as I've pointed out elsewhere, was taken by one of antifa's own who at the end of the video was belligerent about telling the cops what he knew and showing police the video while they were attending the scene of a murdered man and the murderer was still within a short distance running. If he had said something -- he ran thataway -- anything, he might have been caught right then.

You have to wonder how cold a human being can be to witness and FILM a murder and not be RUNNING to the police to SCREAM that you've just witnessed and filmed a murder and 'MAYBE WE CAN CATCH HIM'.

Are people so jaded that life itself has absolutely no meaning unless someone shares the same belief system as you?

This is what it's come down to. So is it now open season on BLM and ANTIFA, based on their calloused attitudes toward conservatives and Trump (freedom) supporters in general? My feeling is that a lot of people will feel exactly that, open season has been declared and NOTHING is off the table as it pertains to those in open revolt to overthrow this nation, the true domestic enemies of the state.

Have they now proved themselves to be exactly that, domestic enemies that so many of us have sworn an oath to defend against, demonstrated by their open cheers in learning that one of the 'fascist Trump supporters' was assassinated in the streets of Portland?

If I were them I'm not sure I'd be venturing too far from the relative safety of my mother's basement right about now...

I hear you and alot feel the same way but murder in droves just spirals us further down the rabbit hole, we need law and order. The biggest problem we have is our leaderships has caused this and is responsible for the chaos this has become we need leaders that are willing to lead Kate, Ted and the DA got to go.

I no longer live in Oregon.

Oregonians ELECTED KB. What's that say for the mental health and awareness level of the electorate? Seriously. How do these people get elected?

If it continues then America really isn't what we think it is.

I realize I'm very late in this thread... sorry for the late post if this has already been addressed.

I live in NE Oregon. We are a conservative town still, barely. But we CONSTANTLY get outvoted by the massive number of socialists that live in the Portland area. I'm sure the few conservatives and libertarians there don't like it either, but we HATE being dominated by Portland politics, and by the current govt in Salem!!!

I'm sure you know this already. But I needed to say it.

Rural Oregon has NO representation in Salem. Too bad the Kate recall failed by 1% of the required signatures to get it on the ballot.

Union County Republican Party effort sucked. Unlike the last time around, there was very little publicity, no signing events, etc. I never even knew where to go to sign the petition. Baker County did a fair job, they are usually pretty active.

I live in a little town of 1200, 15 miles from a college town and it's got more BLM signs in yards and windows than Trump signs. The madness is spreading.

EOU is here. We have our share of Trump haters, and we had a small (20 people) march for George Floyd, but I'm not seeing a lot of BLM signs..... yet.

1. Be excellent to each other
Though this may sound a little 'out there', we couldn't phrase it better than our sixteenth president, Abraham Lincoln (captured on VHS circa 1989).

Websters defines excellent as "unusually good" or "much better than average". Our goal of welcoming all gun owners means you're likely to find a diverse group here. Going above and beyond when interacting with others you may disagree with is not easy, but it is a condition of your membership. You don't have to be warm and cuddly, but you do have to be courteous and respectful. When things get heated, simply avoid using the word you.

How you treat others here is a direct reflection on all gun owners, and believe us, people are watching. Opting for the high road is always the best choice, and arguing on the internet is pointless. Since we don't have time to babysit, we don't care who started it; most heated discussions result in both parties receiving a reminder. Continued friction between members is best dealt with via the ignore button.

This rule is purposely vague to inclusively prohibit a wide variety of rude, malicious, catty, sarcastic, hurtful, hateful, spiteful, barbed, and ornery behavior within the Northwest Firearms community including:

  • General rudeness and disrespect (as outlined above).
  • Epithets, labels, and generalizations against another person or group of people, whether they are members here or not. These serve absolutely no purpose other than to divide us, directly opposite to our goal of uniting gun owners. This is especially relevant in regard to political labels (such as 'the liberal media', 'those right-wingers', and even 'left/right'). Pro-gun and anti-gun are the only labels that should be applied here, as we are a single issue community. This rule also applies to but is not limited to epithets, labels, and generalizations pertaining to race, sex, sexual orientation, religion, age, ethnicity, nationality, occupation (such as law enforcement), and every other one you can think of. Disagreement over what constitutes a religion, race, sexual orientation, ethnicity, etcetra is not a legitimate excuse.
  • Using someone's affiliations as an ad hominem means of dismissing or discrediting their views regardless of whether said affiliations are mainstream. An example could be "you're a vegetarian, so what would you know about hunting?".
  • Linking to external attacks, harassment, or other material, for the purpose of attacking another member.
  • Comparing members to Nazis, dictators, or other infamous persons.
  • Accusations about personal behavior. If you believe a person's personal behavior is questionable, on or off the site, please contact a moderator.
  • Giving out personal information about another member, such as name, phone number, address, etc.
  • Threats, including, but not limited to:
    • Threats of legal action.
    • Threats of violence or other off-site action (particularly death threats).
    • Threats of physical or electronic vandalism.
    • Threats or actions which deliberately expose other members to political, religious or other persecution by government, their employer or any others.
    • Threats to give out personal information about another member.
These examples are not exhaustive. Insulting or disparaging another member is prohibited regardless of the manner in which it is done.
