I bead blasted the stainless guiderods that I just installed in my SIG pistols. As many of you know I just changed them out. The factory w=ones were black and I replaced them with stainless. The stainless rods has a brushed steel look but the SIG pistols have the bead blasted Matte finish. So today I bead blasted the ends of the guiderods and it looks so much better. It give the gun that "custom" look. Here are pics that show the gun in it's original configuration, the new guiderod installed (sorry that pic is a bit blurry), and the bead blasted final product.

Wow, the factory would be smart to pick up on that.

Questions: What do you blast with? I have thought of making a small-ish personal blasting cabinet or buying one at Harbor Freight. Also are you using a normal compressor or do you have something massive?
