A divorced 65 yr old Eugene man by the name of Daniel Alfred Brandt showed up at his former home ( which now belongs to his ex-wife ) and tried to shoot both her new boyfriend, as well as her best female friend. However, his aim was off, and he missed hitting both of them.
He then eventually turned his gun on himself, and shot himself in the neck, attempting to commit suicide. However, he botched this shot too, and failed to kill himself. Paramedics were able to treat him, and get him quickly to the hospital.
He has since been released from the hospital, and now resides inside the Lane County Jail, after being booked for multiple felonies. Here is his booking photo:
