One of the motivations for stealing popular cars like a Kia, Toyota/etc., is that they are more valuable when stripped down for parts because of the demand for the parts. The value of the parts is more than the value of the car as a whole.

Seems pretty dang clear to me! Good shoot... but his aim could have been better. "Pronounced dead at the scene" would mean he not only saved his GF but who knows how many more potential victims in that turds future.

I'm sure the taxpayers would have been grateful to save having to pay the perps medical expenses, free room and board for the foreseeable future and all the legal expenses associated with both prosecuting and defending him at the same time

Oh well. Maybe his next victim can shoot straighter!
