Stupidity should be painful. Some times it is. A lot of the problems we have is it's not painful more often.

If only California had some gun control laws, this senseless act could have been prevented. I feel bad for the kids, but it was a blessing in disguise for them. They might be adopted by a family that doesn't leave unattended loaded guns within reach of toddlers.

Yep. It was something like this that got the sig line I use. Guy who used to fill in on local radio here was reading some of the "stupid news". After one along this line is when he used that line in my sig. I laughed at it a lot and have never forgotten it.

That's another one of those things that could never happen because of the CA gun laws. I would think it impossible for a 4year old to purchase a shotgun!

How was this weapon obtained?
How were all these kids in the back seat?
I'm assuming the nationality of the people, and assuming these kids just piled in the car and non were secured appropriately.
Aaaand the gun was a straw purchase or stolen.
