That ***** place.

Camp 18 -- went there on the first date with the now wife. We were there about 5 hours, the owners let us explore after they closed down to service.
Somewhere on this site is a pic of my Dad @ Camp 18.

Long closed but the old Flying M Ranch west of Yamhill was truly a rustic rural old West style restaurant. Kind of like Camp 18. Great steaks and drinks. Took my now wife there on our second date, she wondered where we were going so far out in the woods for dinner. We got there, there was a a wait as usual, some idiot called in a bomb threat, they cleared the place out, I knew the owner, helped him search the place, then got a drink cart out and started mixing drinks to keep the people there until the SO gave the all clear. Got our meals on the house that night.

They had an airstrip there, flew in there a few times, pucker factor was right up there, one way in committed from about 2 miles out, had to get it right or be in the trees.

They used to have some of the great country and western groups in their early days out there, The Desert Rose Band, Highway 101, Restless Heart were some we danced to. We did lots of trail riding on horses out there. It was just a piece of that old West I grew up with that I miss a lot.

Sambi - Small family run Sushi/Japanese restaurant hidden in the strip mall next to Jesuit HS on Bvtn.-Hillsdale Hwy. You know it's good sushi when half the people there are Japanese.

Stockpot Broiler - on Scholls Ferry Rd at the Red Tail Golf Course

Fed ex works for sushi to Montana.
Here's a trivial fact. Back in the day, you had to be a black belt to prepare sushi

Barbecue? Podnah's Pit
Best sandwiches? Shut Up and Eat , Lardo

Closed several years ago after the Fire. Use to go here but
went downhill last couple years. It was off Sandy.o_O

Made a special trip from Tualatin to Podnah's on the advice of a waiter at Fat City Cafe. Entirely unimpressed with the quality. Brisket was dry as styrofoam & pork was stringy & fatty. Won't ever go back.

Lil Sambos in Lincoln City makes their corned beef hash breakfast from scratch, like from a real slow cooked corned beef brisket they pull from when you order it.
