World war 2 pistols are still available at reasonable prices. Have you considered a Luger, Walther p38, pp, ppk of that era or perhaps a hi power with matching stock?
 
I don't have any safe queens, the kind of safe queen that has a "wow factor" appearance.
Doesn't have to be rare, but just a bit flashy.

It might be cool to have 1 semi-auto or revolver safe queen.
Are there any good safe queens under $2k?

I really like the Dan Wesson Heirloom series, but that is a bit over my budget.

How about something really cool like a Uberti reproduction Smith & Wesson model 3 with color case hardened frame and French Blue barrel. They run about $1800 then add a nice leather holster with cartridge loops. Now that would be cool.
