Been a long week and I've been looking forward to this stick tonight. Wife's out of town and kids at the BF house so it's me, the dog and a frog in the fountain lol.

Gurkha Epicure 6.5"x58, thing is a monster, super easy draw and impressive amounts of medium bodied smoke off the get go. Oh so good so far:s0155:

Keep in mind I have xxl hands;)

I got 5 of these as a freebie and I'm thinking the other 4 are going in the save them bin.

Nice score! Enjoy your weekend!

How about a Rockey Patel, Vintage 2003, Cameroon with a levergun? Best way to start the day. (And will take some of the sting out of the Socialistic horsecrap I just received on my work email.)

No pics, but last nights smoke was a three year old Bolivar Belicoso Fino. What wonderful smokes....really smoking great. That and the Monte #2 are my two fave regular production smokes coming off the 'forbidden island'.....at this time. Recent examples have been pretty amazing.....

Any of y'all ever try and infuse a cigar with liquor?

Saw a couple YouTube vids on it and it looks pretty much like leaving a shot glass of alcohol in a sealed tub with some sticks for 3-5 weeks (another said that's minimum and 3-5 months is better).

Although they were using better then budget sticks, I got a 30 count box of John Bull on discount and free shipping for quick weekday sticks and only smoke 1-2 a week so I would use those at $1.25 each just to see if I even liked it.

Don't see the point in using higher end, well higher end in my world, cigars as I enjoy those just as is lol.

Wife is back to school again so Wednesday it's just me and the dog.

Thought I'd try this Sancho Panza Triple Añejo tonight. So far it's pretty good but only a 3.5/5 for me in the first inch so far. Was part of a sampler and I'd buy more if I ever saw a sale I couldn't resist.

Paired with water and my gunmetal dress Kershaw

Out of curiosity, is your woman also a teacher or you mean she is attending college or trade school? Just idle curiosity. Well wishes, friend. :)

Halfway thru her masters program. Only way to move up at her job. Between that and work she puts in a lot of time so hoping she can move up into a less demanding position when she's done.

Awesome. Wishing her and you well. (I remember when my wife went through the masters and what we had to do.) Godspeed, friends. :)

Some people are into that and they can add some sophistication to the smoke. Brandy infused cigars were fairly popular up until about ten years ago. You can still find them though. But as you said, you can make them yourself. a nice pungent brandy will give you the best results and quicker. Things like almond liquor are also interesting. I would experiment with the airline sized bottles though. That way you don't have to have a bottle of cr@p you might not like sitting around if it doesn't work out.

What are you all using to humidify your humidors? I've just been using an Paradigm humidifier. It's OK. Also tried those Bovedas, but usually had to bump up the ratings to get the desired humidity level desired.. As far as Cigars, I really like Opus X, Black Pearls. and Partagas 1845; all in Maduro.
I got my custom humidor several years ago from the Philippines. Made a Nara wood with Cedar inserts. Time for a refill!!!

The boveta 72% keeps my stuff at 70-71. I ditched futzing with the distilled water humidifiers.

Especially after I saw you can recharge them.

I keep 2 small ones in my '50 count' box that hold more like 35 for me
