While researching the other topic I just posted about the tinted windows and CCW, I came across this sticker:
Driver Carries Concealed Weapon Window Sticker Decal Concealed Carry Concealed Firearm - Red Rock Decals
I'm uncertain if this is a good idea or a bad one. I see what they are trying to do, but to me, it also seems like an advertisement that you potentially have a gun *in* the vehicle (and of course you're no where near it when someone is reading the sticker most likely).
It also seems like a bit of "brandishing" or "threatening" in a sense. It's like the T-Shirts that have a similar message. I mean, the whole point of carrying concealed is that nobody should know you have a firearm right?
Just curious what the general consensus is on these kinds of statements (stickers, tshirts, etc) and how effective or detrimental they are to the individual and to "the cause". Do you think it will really deter a criminal, or will it egg them on?
Furthermore, isn't this sticker all bark and no bite? I mean, even if you saw someone stealing your car (assuming you are not *in* it -- otherwise that is carjacking and a whole different crime), you can't lethally defend your property anyways, right?
