So, for like the umpteenth time, I am rereading John Seymour's excellent Guide to Self-Sufficiency. There is a short chapter devoted to fish farming. The author states the efficiency of doing so with respect to cost, etc. to protein benefits. He recommends carp, tilapia or trout as the species to consider, with a strong preference for tilapia.

Anyone ever engage in small scale fish farming? How did it go and was it worth the time and monetary investment?

Thanks much.

(When we relocate, I am planning on having chickens and goats, but am considering other options, hence the research.)

Fish farming? I tried it once, planted the damn things but nothing grew. Sure stunk up the fields though. :D

And tagged. :)
